Possible alternative to ill people unwilling to try RVAF diets
« on: September 12, 2016, 01:22:09 am »
Pyridoxamine  is an alternative form of vitamin B6 which many longevity-fanatics are now using as it helps to nullify the formation of Advanced Glycation End Products to some extent. As many of us know, Advanced Glycation End Products(AGEs) are toxic compounds  formed by heat and are present in large amounts in cooked foods, and raw foods from animals fed unnatural diets like grains/soy etc. AGEs are also present in car-exhaust-fumes and cigarette-smoke and are primarily responsible for most of the inflammation-causing health-problems associated with old age, such as osteoarthritis, type 2 diabetes, alzheimers' etc. etc. Apparently, pyridoxamine has no side-effects, unlike pyridoxine(aka "vitamin B6"). It is available on amazon.com.

The point is that, due to absurd cultural biases, most people nowadays are terrified at the prospect of trying out a raw-meat diet. Many  in fact would rather die in appalling agony than even consider trying out raw meat, no matter how many  scientific studies they read damning cooked foods -   so sometimes offering  pyridoxamine instead as a lesser alternative would at least help a bit re alleviation of some  symptoms.

Thanks Tylor,
This is surely very interesting for me as I have been suffering with Gout and it is becoming worst and worst with meat/fish.
Moreover, I have read that Vitamin B6 generally helps against Gout. I also took vitamin B6 for some period (but without Pyridoxamine) , but it didn't help.

For the last night I have been searching for Pyridoxamine in Germany, but it seems it is impossible to buy it in Germany (as in US). Only got one online shop in Luxemburg, but I am sure they will also not ship it to Germany.

Some products cannot effectively be sold within some countries even if they are technically legal there.  For example, I have occasionally bought some products online  from Holland. Ah, here is a link re  buying it in Germany:-

https://www.shopping24.de/product/pyridoxamine-100-mg-395426573

Hmm, a bit of googling on my part found this post claiming that  Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate is even more effective:-

http://aging-und-praevention.de/nahrungsergaenzungen-f22/pyridoxamine-gegen-glykierung-wo-kaufen--t7590.html

Someone made a cautionary post re pyridoxamine:-
http://www.longecity.org/forum/topic/38112-vitamin-b6-pyridoxamine-neurotoxicity/

and then there is this:-http://slowaging.org/nutrition/pyridoxamine-diabetes-care

I would recommend not overdoing the dosage re pyridoxamine, just in case.
