The multiregional hypothesis states that  homo erectus left Africa c.800,000 years ago and became human all over the globe. Given that the dates are always being pushed back on a regular basis(it used to be claimed that humans left Africa c.60,000 years ago), it looks like the multiregional hypothesis.
