I've not ever had raw roadkill. Not sure exactly what qualifies as high meat. Perhaps you could define?

And how is it different from standard aging of meats?

Only high meat, organs, and wild game for me so far. I'll get to insects some day; roadkill depends on the shape of the animal. :P

Tried everything but roadkill. Its kinda hard to convince my mother to pull over whenever I see a dead deer by the road.  -\

The only roadkill in my urban area are stray cats -- I am not eating those.

ive only eaten ants :( but this summer i want to harvest misquito eggs, i want to find a bee keeper who will let me eat some larva, and ill probably be eating grasshoppers.  for whatever reason i have not seen any deer carcasses(in the road, i have seen several dismembered deer legs, and lots of cougar scat eww) this year which means they are either being blessed or there is a high demand for roadkill, but i promised that if i find a fresh roadkill deer and have the means to bring it home i have a few friends who will help me with the butchering process, i would be so blessed and honored to have that much meat that easily!

i thought this poll might intale how much "toughness" one has in terms of paleo lifestyle(duh this is more a diet board) i dont know if the diet breeds the lifestyle or vice versa or both or neither......
for me its kind of the lifestyle influencing the diet, as i live very close to the dirt and nature and now feel i am more at harmony with how i am supposed to be treating/nourishing myself and am living a more "paleo" life, spending most of my free time in nature, or in some form studying nature
i will admit typing on the computer is rather abstract, but, as i am sure most will agree it is a great sounding board for the constant internal string of thought and a great way to cultivate and cumulate ideas

  "high-meat" is meat aged at least to the point where it becomes really slimy on the surface, with fungus threads appearing as well. "High-Meat" is different from simple aging of meats because most people prefer to age it in the fridge(to avoid flies laying eggs on the meat).

Well, up to now it appears I’m the only one to have eaten a roadkill ! It was a hare of the desert in Baja California, just freshly killed. We skinned it and hung it on the rear view mirrors inside and outside the van for a few days till it dried somewhat.  ;)

    I've had live ants, raw venison, raw every kind of meat I've found in Whole Foods Market or local fish market, raw high meats, raw organs, raw glands, live clams/oysters, I think that's all.  I have not tried road kill.  

    Besides flavor (I heard it tastes like chicken), what is frog like to eat?  What does snake taste like?  I'm sure eventually I'll be trying these if I run across them.  I'll be trying locusts too.  The bee grubs sound good.

I've had raw wild frog.  It was super bland.  Not like the organic chickens I've had.

Frog's legs were bland all the times I had them except once, in Louisville, Kentucky, when they tasted of swamp.

I learned that in Montserrat the people call frog "mountain chicken," because they catch the frogs up in the cool mountains.
