Star Trek 3-D Chess

I got an original Franklin Mint set years ago as a gift. Brutal game when you play it, to, by the way.

Anyway, we haven;t been able to locate it since the move and are worried it was lost or stolen. I'm wondering if anyone has an original set they'd like to sell?

Oh, I was under the impression they'd faked it and that there was no genuine 3d-chess.

No, it's a real game. Same number of pieces with fewer squares, which makes for a more aggressive style game.

Ah, it seems from wikipedia that they did indeed fake it but subsequently invented (modified) rules to make a game(for example you can't castle in 3-D).
