Try eating a live lobster, raw. Had some for Christmas, totally worth the 200.00SGD.

But I have a feeling they won't allow me back into that restaurant again..

They leave the head on the plate (still has a lot of flesh in it) and the rest of the lobster (sliced) on another plate, so I kinda used my hands and snagged the entire head, ate it using my hands while telling my mum that there's an orgy in my mouth in a quiet restaurant. It was REALLY good combined with the taste of a dozen oysters on my tongue. :D

Then the waiter told me to use my utensils...

I had to eat the live geoduck clam with a pair of chopsticks instead of scooping it up with my tongue.

The future of enjoying raw, live seafood in a fancy restaurant paleo way seems bleak...

Funnily enough, eating with your hands is far superior. The ridiculous habit of eating with utensils dates back to I believe it was Becket's time.

Eating with your hands gives your brain a foreknowledge of the temperature, consistency, texture, etc of the food so it can decide if it is edible or how to handle the digestion of the morsel. By eating with utensils (an unfortunate fad that failed to die out because it held some weird aura of upper classedness) your mouth has an immediate job to do in figuring out if it is edible. Not only that but no doubt some utensils give a metallic taint to the food and a potential of long term buildup of the metal somewhere n the body.

I always eat with my hands. ever since I have been to south africa working there for 6months I do it. The rural people eat lots without utensils and I have come to love it :D

In India, a friend told me that a devout Hindu will eat with the right hand only and only touch the food with the last part of their fingers. You will notice that they will even break chapatis (round flatbread) with one hand.
