What are some good sources of glucose that can be eaten raw besides excessive protein consumption turning into glucose?

There aren't any natural sources of pure glucose.
Fruits and honey are a combination of glucose and fructose.
Only when you eat starchy foods such as potatoes you've got indirectly pure glucose (there are only trace amounts of fructose - about 2%)

Since we need glucose, are cooked potatoes safe or am I better of with large amounts of fructose from fruit?

Eat such amounts of fructose that you can metabolize.
If you've got some problems with it then pick the fruits with high glucose/fructose ratio.

Persimmons are in season right now and they have a high glucose ratio. They also have huge amounts of potassium and vitamin C. So that might be an option. Plus it is a wild fruit so it is better than domesticated fruits.

Yeah, but there is so few wild fruits nowadays in my climate region.
Only several months in the summer - that's all.
But I've got lots of Jonathan apples from my orchard that I collected in October - I've got 8 crates in my cellar.

I gathered about 1000 persimmons from my trees and neighbors' trees. They are stored in my basement but too many are ripening much faster than I can eat so I give the surplus to my poultry!
Cause and effect are distant in time and space in complex systems, while at the same time there’s a tendency to look for causes near the events sought to be explained. Time delays in feedback in systems result in the condition where the long-run response of a system to an action is often different from its short-run response. — Ronald J. Ziegler
