So, there are no springs plotted near my location on findaspring.com, which does not surprise me. People are not all that health conscious around here. So what I have been doing is looking at topographical maps that have spring locations marked, but I have a some questions.
From Wikipedia "Non-artesian springs may simply flow from a higher elevation through the earth to a lower elevation and exit in the form of a spring, using the ground like a drainage pipe."
Is this type of spring undesirable? How do I know I am not just getting snow water melting from the top of the mountain? Is what I am looking for an artesian well only?
