Not directly, but I've known people who subscribed to it and they never got back or neurological probs and always had good posture. When did AT start?

Here's links but there are people all over who teach it.
http://www.alexandertechnique.com/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_technique

Basically the guy was having voice problems and he discovered by self observation that he had issues with posture, particularly his head was not aligned with his body.

So over time he developed techniques to make people aware of and to straighten themselves out.

Personally I lean forward so my posture is out of whack and it is a source of other issues, especially when seated.

I suspect that most people have some degree of posture issues which affect the health, voice, strength etc.

There are also podcasts at iTunes on the subject.

I get that you basically have to go to a teacher. A book cannot really cut it.

Do you know anything about the lessons? ie. how long do you go etc?

I read a book about it and I'm still using some of the techniques there (when I remember).

If you want an upgrade from AT, you can also check out the Feldenkrais Method.

The idea behind all those techniques is that they help correct the body's energy flows and it will result in better health etc.

Thanks! I read about it also but it was general thoughts, nothing concrete. For me I think it's useful as my posture is not great.
