I'm interested in finding out the exact terms used to describe "organic meats" and "grassfed meats" in Germany, France and Italy. I can think of some long-winded translations but they are unlikely to be used by organic-food-consumers. Any help appreciated.

Grassfed meat : there's no such thing in France

Don't believe a word of it. I used to live in a remote village in Correze where the impoverished farmers would just take their cattle out to pasture to feed. They may have, foolishly, also fed them a little grain back at the farm, but I doubt it as they were not intensive-farmers but just small-time peasant-farmers who preferred their cattle to feed themselves when in the open.

The term "grassfed" may not exist per se in France, but grassfed meats sure do exist in reality.

Yeah, if you're very lucky, you may find some!

Here http://www.granddictionnaire.com/btml/fra/r_motclef/index800_1.asp
the translation is given as "nourri au fourrage".
