Its no surprise that this is happening although its sad and tragic that trillions of dollars are spent on war while children are hungry back home. Soon the price of even GMO fed meat will be to high for the working class to afford and there could be millions of children who have to live almost entirly off of cereal grains.

It's not a new problem in America by any means. My mother grew up in South Dakota, at a time when the government subsidized farmers to only grow corn, while the children in those communities were malnourished. The government paid farmers to not grow nutritious foods. My granny was forced to feed her 6 children cornmeal mush or oatmeal for breakfast and lunch and potatoes for dinner. By the time she left my grandfather she was 85 pounds and malnourished from living off of mainly boiled potatoes. My mother aunts and uncles all bear health issues that can be linked to the malnourishment of their childhood.

I may find my self struggling to keep my own children well fed. Of course I know enough now about nutrition to be able to make slop bucket casseroles loaded with slow rendered lard.

I read a self help book where the author who grew up during the depression lived through the winter eating mostly bread soaked in fat drippings.

Worse comes to worse I will make ground worm burger and trap possum before I let my children go hungry.

A man who makes a beast of himself, forgets the pain of being a man.
