Bison Brain
« on: March 23, 2012, 12:26:08 pm »
Hey what's going on everybody?  I am going to be acquiring the brain of a bison for tanning from our friends over at our favorite grass-fed ranch in Wisconsin, and I just wanted to ask about eating some.

Is there any possible danger in eating brains (like stories I have heard about cannibals and psychological issues) or only a certain limited amount that I should eat at once?  Also do you think I might be moving into any effects such as altered dreams inside that night?  Thank you for your concern.

as long as the herd is grassfed and healthy, and has no history of CWD, then it's probably safe to eat.

That is so cool, but why would you waste it on tanning!!!

Eat it!

Also like cheri said, as long as the herd has no history of mad cow. CWD is supposedly not transmissible to humans, yet anyway. Not sure how you will find that out though without giving away that you're considering eating some, they might stop selling to you if they think that's what you're doing.

What did you mean about dreams?
