Inger, not being American you might never have seen this old clip from a comedy television program called Saturday Night Live:

Err, one can't see the vid unless one is based in the US.

Let's see if this one works:

If not this youtube probably will - but it's missing one of the funniest lines and is poor quality:

Very nice.

I don't know if you have fish this small, but we eat these DILIS whole raw without blendering them.

We just dip them in some real vinegar.

Those look so tasty GS, especially not having eaten a meal yet today. Is it difficult to bite clean through them?

LOL.. Dorothy that was funny.. ;D. Exactly how I make my fish-head smoothie.  :)

@ GS,
we have these small fishes here too occasionally! Not exactly the same but looks quite similar. I eat them whole too like you, just marinated in some vinegar and honey and salt for a few hours. Tasty! Not hard to chew at all, heads are very soft, and they are mild tasting.
People have eaten them whole here forever, they pan fry or deep fry them. It is a traditional food and counts as a delicacy!

    Good one.

I ate carp heads earlier today for lunch. Delicious :P
