Login "forever" session no longer being saved
« on: October 23, 2011, 11:39:35 pm »
Since the upgrade, my Login "forever" session length is no longer being saved and instead I have to login again each time I access the site after closing it. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm not experiencing this problem with any other website.

It's working for me.

Try another browser.

Maybe you need to clear your cookies and offline stuff.

The problem doesn't occur on Internet Explorer, but I'd rather use Google Chrome, which I find to be a far superior browser for my needs. I had already tried clearing the cookies and offline stuff, which didn't help, but thanks for the suggestions.

The problem does not occur with the earlier version 2.0 of the SMF forum software that the Dirty Carnivore site is using, so it may be a conflict between SMF 2.0.1 and Google Chrome.

I see that someone else reported the problem, but it mysteriously cleared up for some unknown reason: http://smfarcade.info/forum/index.php?topic=7615.0

It's working for me again and I haven't changed a thing. Weird.  :o  :D

Ah, I noticed that the SMF forum software was updated to 2.0.4, so maybe that fixed a bug.
