Our search engine

Is it any good?  I ask because I have searched for terms I know I have seen here and come up empty.  Or maybe I am hallucinating.  Has anyone else had issues?

I haven't tried it before but I just searched for hallucinating and one post showed up - yours above. I just searched for paleo and got two pages of results. What were you trying to find? Maybe the poster had misspelled it, went back and edited it or deleted the post?

Ah! Were you using the text box on the upper right with the magnifying glass? I just tried that and it doesn't seem to work very well at all.
I was clicking on the green search tab, after "home, help" and before the "profile" tab. I don't know why it would make such a difference but it does. I think there is a "simple search" option in the admin panel. Maybe I should disable it.

Try it again. The box is still there but it should act like the regular search rather than the simple search.

Thanks for finding out the difference.  The text box is convenient and quicker than the search link, so it is my preference.  Thanks for making it a detailed search function.

No problem. One thing I've noticed is that if you are in a certain thread, it will only search that thread. If you are on the home page, it'll search everything.
