Eating raw from grocery beef...

Hi I'm new.

Since gut pathogens thrive on sugar/carbs (specifically processed sugar), would it be safe to eat grocery beef if you were on a ketogenic diet? Theoretically of course.

You should be fine! Make sure it's the best available meat quality that you can find and afford. It doesn't always have to be "Grass Fed"! If you want Omega 3's than eat fish every once in a while. Don't stress, just keep it RAW!

Always go in for raw grassfed or raw wild game. Grainfed meat is to be avoided at all costs.

Just as commercial eggs taste terrible raw.

In our experience here in our markets, the local grain fed beef and the Australian grain fed beef taste TERRIBLE raw. 
I want to enjoy my food.  Follow your taste buds.

Since you are new, go taste and taste many things... your taste buds will allow you to gravitate to the healthier meats.

Ask questions and know what you are looking for. The Whole Foods near me has both grain-fed and grass-fed meats, both farmed and wild-caught fish, both fresh-ground and ground-and-frozen beef. They also have some people working behind the meat counter who are clueless about their products and will give you any answer that pops into their pretty heads. Talk to the head of the department.
