First time for liver
« on: February 01, 2010, 09:21:50 am »
what's a good way to eat it for the first time?  i was thinking to cut it up into small pieces and leave it uncovered in the fridge for a couple days?

thanks for the suggestions :)

I've lost my fondness for raw liver. I find that the very loose stools that raw liver produces are rather unpleasant, so I prefer eating only small amounts of raw liver here and there, and then only with other raw meats.

I tried liver with fat, like I eat other meats, but I don't really like it with fat.  I like it plain, the best.  I have blended it with spices though, as a pate.  That's nice too.

I cut it up into small pieces and eat it before the rest of my meal, consisting usually of muscle and fat. I don't know if it's because it was the first organ for me to eat raw, but liver is pretty appealing and easy to eat for me now. I don't overdo it though, just a little bit for a few meals rather than eating a whole liver in one sitting.
