Ugh I hate all of that stuff. But I think it will probably happen more gradually than those two links suggest. Like how they pasteurize almonds now, they'll keep whittling away at natural foods and direct dealing with farmers.

It's just a matter of control and money.  It's not like growing your own food, hunting (regardless of weapon), gathering, and raising a family aren't already nearly impossible to do without breaking some law or another.
