Just meat
« on: June 24, 2015, 12:41:28 am »
I do best only on meat and fat. But I do too much web research and then I'm like, I need all these other vitamins and minerals!! So I can never make it more than a couple days eating strictly carnivore and as I am always experimenting, certain foods set off very painful gut reactions. Recently, tahini (granted it was roasted).
So it seems everyone on this forum basically eats a mixed plant and animal diet at this point. I enjoyed reading paleophil's transformation to RS and it seems to make alot of sense, re: the colon's use of the starches.
I know I feel best strictly carnivore and soon find myself running and exercising more on that diet. I just worry about iodine and the like. It is hard on me because progress seems so easy to lose  -[

Once I starting adding carbs, I had to do a lot of allergy testing and elimination. I use pulse testing for most of my allergy testing, but I've also gotten blood antibody types of allergy tests for foods that were not conclusive with pulse testing.

How long have you been strictly carnivores? .... The body can hold reserves of phytonutrients and trace elements that can allow one to subsist for long periods of time on a purely carnivorous diet. I remember spending close to a year living on a nearly carnivorous diet, befor I began to feel depleted in certain elements.

I carefully added plant foods back into the diet over a long period of time. My primary plant food of choice is coconut, and a daily salad which consist of a variety foods, like salad greens, tomatoes, avocados, herbs, seaweed, hemp seeds.

Just be mindful of how you are feeling, and dont be afraid to try small amounts of other foods from time to time to see what foods you can tolerate and which foods you cant.

Well I have actually been trying to eat veggies and starches to gear up my gut biome. I was always discouraged because after trying foods, diarrhea was inevitable. But these last two days, I have followed a Low FODMAP plan and have not had pains or depression yet!

What about adding teas to your daily regimen? Strain them and you have a power House of lots of different molecules from.plants, sans fiber.
