When to eat fruit?
« on: September 04, 2015, 09:20:31 am »
Is there a specific time fruit should be eaten in terms of healthy digestion?   Does anybody with no digestive problems follow any rules of when to eat fruit or do you eat it whenever  you want?   Such first thing in the morning, by itself,  not after a meal, etc...

You cannot generalize "fruit".  So much variety out there.

I don't generally find mixing certain dense fruits with certain watery fruits to work well without a "buffer" food in between.

I prefer sweeter fruits like berries and melons alone.  Fruits like avocados and cucumbers are fine for me mixed with meats and fish (as in seaweed wrapped raw fish with avocado and cucumber, etc).

Yes, there are "rules" of eating fruit. For example, the one you mentioned is from the Natural Hygiene movement of the last 100+ years. Generally, ancestral eating pre-dates those rules. How would early man determine and convey those rules, and how would they even follow such a rule, if it existed?

I really only eat berries, apple, plums and occasional melon...

I think I was looking for example of what time in the day you guys eat fruit.   Does anybody just eat fruit whenever they want and have no problems digesting it?

Too much sweets can also be a problem.
Monotony can also be a problem.  Variety I believe is better.
Some fruits are harder to digest.  Jack fruit is one example.

I usually eat one food item at a time.

So 1 kind of fruit one time.
