Her story reminds me of my own past raw vegan phase. I too developed massive, compulsive hunger-pangs in my  raw vegan/fruitarian phase, which were not remotely sated by eating vast amounts of raw plant foods. I felt like an addict at the time. Hmnm, come to think of it, near the end of my RZC trials, I felt  no hunger-pangs but was constantly thirsty and no amount of water-intake would quench my thirst, even when adding salt to my mineral-water. Strange.
