Short of sticking only to eating only very small fish, there is not much one can do to avoid such pollutants. Going rawpalaeo is sometimes not enough in this case.

I wish the regulatory agencies of the world would actually do their job a little better...In the modern world nothing in the natural world has been untouched by the dirty hands of humankind. Samples from all food animals and plants(wild or cultivated) need to be tested...and the results be made available to the public.

Its all well and good to have a small group of passionate ecologist whom are raising concern about the contamination in the ocean mammals....but where are the teams of scientist when it comes to testing the saturation of human tissues with these substances. I am not aware of any agency which systematically test populations for possible contamination..There are a number of independent groups which have brought to light some of the contamination. Roundup, pesticide residues, plastic, and many other substances are ubiquitous in many populations, and there are a number of health concerns, yet organizations such as the WHO or the FDA are so castrated and indentured to the world powers that control them, that they cant even suggest that eating refined sugar is unhealthy.

Even in places that are known cancer belts, there doesn't seem to be the same kind of active investigation as we see in the case of the infertile and dwindling sea mammals... There is a situation where people do not know for sure the quality of the environment in which they live(Polluted cities), the purity of the land their food comes from(Big agra wastelands), or the safety of the municipal water( Flint Michigan). People who are aware of these issues notice the negative health trends, the lowering of IQs, and the epidemic of the hormonal afflicted, yet there are no(establishment backed) groups of scientist performing toxicological micro biopsies for human beings suffering from these conditions.

It seems like we are on our own and must find for oneself the purest water, cleanest air, and unmolested paleoist foods.....I have been a skeptic of the quality of much of the Grass Fed Meat being produced commercially in my part of the world. Though we have some of the best pasture land around, I have seen for myself how cows are raised right next to industrial areas...The major coal power plant in the county is surrounded by cattle farms, the highways cut right through the pastures, many fields are sprayed for weeds and only contain a few types of grass, some pastures are right on top of old mines, and the water these animals are given is often treated.

The best raw paleo diet in this country is simply nowhere near what was possible before industrialization. We should admit that to ourselves.
