Possible new rawpaleo guru since Aajonus?
« on: May 09, 2016, 03:10:25 am »
http://rawpaleo.com/why-raw-primal/

Hmm, she calls her diet "rawpaleo" despite allowing raw dairy but this is quibbling as some people seem to do fine on the stuff.

Amazing how easy it is to become a health/diet/nutritionist in the UK or US etc.. In Austria you can peddle almost any alternative-medicine gimmick no matter how weird with not much education involved necessarily  but, in almost all areas of expertise, you are forced  to become a general medicine doctor etc. first, before that. So you get doctors/nutritionists/psychologists etc.  promoting unconventional medicine such as homeopathy or acupuncture or herbal medicine or whatever  whereas State doctors in most other countries would be terrified of being fired or struck off the medical register for promoting alternative stuff.

Not one mention of Aajonus, GCB, or any other raw foodist of any note in her bio. Especially funny since she clearly stole many of her ideas from Aajonus. LOL

She will never be well-known, I am guessing. You have to do more than steal someone's ideas and live in California to gain notoriety in the raw food world these days. Back in the 90s, things were easier for guys like David Wolfe, who wholesale plagiarized A.T. Hovhanessian and lived in Southern Cali.

Good Lord, David Wolfe was a total bastard, it seems:-

Almost all these diet gurus seem to like being the one and only diet guru around for their followers  and rarely mention previous influences.

Melissa contacted me a few years back, and was following much of what I have been doing with interest. Havent heard from her since....She has my blessings and I wish her well. She is cute and may appeal to the gentile class of dieters who may find people like myself or the last generation of Gurus like AV or GCB unappealing.

Some would be Gurus do themselves a disfavor by deferring to past figures, and may not ever gain notoriety or fame if all they did was point out how they were following the practices of others.

Its human nature to take credit for the lessons learned from others.... for some time I imagined Daniel Vitalis was trolling here, and soon after began promoting eating raw meat without any credit given to the Raw Paleo dieters he must of learned from. Much of his Ideas on Re-wilding, or the allegory of the nature of the wolf vs the domesticated dog, and how that relates to human domestication..... share a resemblance to some of my older rantings here.

I've had email correspondence with Melissa too. I bought her book, and she definitely gives due credit to AV and other raw food gurus like GCB within it, although the book itself is not very well done and doesn't provide much useful information beyond generalities. I don't think she's trying to steal info from anyone, just trying to make sure she doesn't give others' too much credit. She is trying to run a business after all, and make a name for herself. Whether she'll succeed at either remains to be seen.

Anyone keep up with Daniel Vitalis' Rewild Yourself Podcast? It used to be really great, very philosophical. Season two started earlier this year, and now he's much more of a salesman. One of his most recent podcasts was a blatant commercial where he 'interviewed' a sales rep from a company that sells the $10,000+ bed that DV now swears by. So much for 'transcending domestication'!

The trouble  with these RVAF diet gurus is that the most money comes from personal mass meetings or mass supplements sellings! Books sell very little!

Personally, I think that Eric could/should  be our next rawpaleodiet guru! Perhaps a new RPD e-book  would be in order. He, at least, has the necessary charisma etc.!

I've been pondering setting up a YouTube channel. It's on my list of projects for this summer. We'll see what comes of it.

I'm going to start selling severe beatings to people who want to experience battling with a wild animal. I'll call it "Re-Wilding Fight Therapy--connect with your inner beast by fighting my OUTER beast!"--only $100 a minute regular price, but act today and get it for $100 off the regular price!

eating raw animal foods is not AVs idea lmfao... AV himself ''stole'' these ideas from other researchers.
