The Holy Grail of food combinations!

OH.MY.GOD.

................................................................................

I have found the Holy Grail of food combinations...for me at least.  Last night, I melted some coconut butter and dipped some of my grass-fed beef flank skirt in it. Oh my goodness! I have never tasted anything so decadent and perfect! It was like they were a match made in heaven! ;D Mmmmm! I'm hooked to say the very least lol.

What are some of your favorite food combinations? I would love to hear how you combine certain raw foods or even some of your favorite raw food recipes. As a newbie, I'm constantly searching and experimenting for yummy combinations! So share away!!! -d

I find food-combinations dodgy. I far prefer mono-eating. That way, I enjoy the taste more. The only exception is the occasional time I may add some freshly-squeezed raw lemon-juice to my raw seafood or when I add some raw herb like basil to my raw meats.

The best 10 raw foods I have liked have been:-

1) raw swordfish steak
2) raw wild boar
3) raw oysters
4) raw mussels
5) raw lobster
6) raw scallops
7) raw moufflon
8 ) raw grassfed beef marrow(the wt kind not the dry stuff)
9) raw mackerel
10) raw wild hare

I find that aside from my salads and combining my meat with either tallow or coconut butter, mono-eating is far superior and one is able to enjoy the flavors of the food more. Plus, it's easier on my digestion to eat mono or mostly mono meals. BUT, I adore my new coconut butter and beef combo :D

Thanks for sharing your favs, Tyler. Wild hare does sound delicious, I hope to try it someday soon!

I generally don't combine foods, except for when I eat my fish meal of the day. I combine the different types of fish, that's all. I never combine fruits. Ever.

The best bit about raw wild hare, if vacuum-packed, is the wonderful blood in it. Raw blood from wild game is very difficult to get hold of but I have to say it is one of the most invigorating raw foods I have ever had, aside from "high-meat".

Tyler- That's awesome about the wild blood being sealed in the package with the meat! Where do you buy your wild hare from (assuming you buy it since you mentioned it being packaged) out of curiousity? Would like to order some soon!

Err, I used to buy them from a farmers' market in London under the "LFM" umbrella. A kind American woman, inspired by Weston-Price and her experiences in Vermont, decided to set up these  UK farmers' markets in order to circumvent the corrupt supermarkets. In the US, admittedly, the sale of raw wild game is forbidden, BUT if you are either a hunter or know a hunter, you would be easily able to get hold of raw wild game/raw wild blood. Perhaps you are lucky enough to live in a US state where they have not managed to ruin the anti-authoritarian 2nd amendment with endless evil laws?

Tyler-I live in the deep and dirty south lol.  That being said, it's difficult to find even grass-fed beef from a trust-worthy source here much less any other type of animal. But, being the "sportsman's paradise" state, wild game (deer, fish, water fowl, rabbits) are always in high abundance. I'm on the fence about consuming the wild game here though as I fear they may be infested with parasites aland I know the water here is anything but clean (near the Gulf of Mexico) and am skeptical about consuming any wild-caught seafood for that reason as well....

The parasites issue is really not credible. If you are still terrified/hysterical of it all, just avoid the bowels/intestines of the wild animal/fish and you will be fine. Good Lord, I have eaten raw wild game for a decade or more and never had parasites from them..... Just bear in mind that just by virtue of eating an RPD diet that you will be highly resistant to any bacteria/parasites anyway.....

I guess the fear of eating the wildlife here is just my judgement of the state in general, seems to be quite dirty and unkempt with lots of industrial plants here that release chemicals into the air all the time. I moved here from Colorado and wouldn't even think twice of eating the wild game there. I'm just hoping the wildlife here isn't as dirty and contaminated as the environment it's living in.... -\

If i'm going to mix different foods, i like to process or liquefied. So it is like a 'new' food. But it is all the same taste and every bite is the same food.
So i can be more aware of the taste changes and digestion is good this way. But in general, whole food is tastier.

God i love raw fatty fish

Aajonus' recipe for living without disease book is packed with delicious recipes. About half of them dont contain any dairy iso there is plenty of stuff try even if you are anti dairy.
