In The States they typically use a GMO alge dirived DHA that I am quite sure is mildly toxic.

Ive been warning about entirely artificial DHA added to commercial baby formulas for years, and am almost certain that its part of an evil plot to retard the human race, by stunting early brain development. The cheap synthetic DHA is nothing like raw sources, and is responsible for building inferior brains.

    • Raw Paleolithic Diet
When I was in my raw vegan/fruitarian  phase, I was concerned about vitamin B12 deficiency, though more varied nutritional deficiencies actually  existed for me on such a diet. So, I would regularly buy this highly processed algae supplement from Upper Klamath Lake somewhere in the West of the US. Needless to say, I found out later, that while there is indeed vitamin B12 in such algae,   it  was not in a form which was easily absorbable by humans....
