Safe(r) Dentistry/Dental Materials
« on: February 07, 2017, 02:35:54 am »
So this is my fathers mouth.

What are his options?

He does not complain because he is a real men but I'm 110% that he got several symptoms associated to the metals in his mouth.(severe digestion issues, fatigue, jaw clicking etc.)

Are there non-toxic options for him, or less toxic?

I found something interesting, are these non-toxic materials?:

A relative was big on the absurd mercury-issue many years ago pre-RPD diet,  and got my one fake tooth a ceramic replacement instead of the usual mercury amalgam. Had no effect on my poor health at the time,

well... you are one out of a million.. you are the exception to the rule...most people get extreme relief when they get rid of dental metals...

I also replaced my metal fillings years ago and did not notice any difference.

One mercury filling isn't going to have a negative health effect. 2 or more metal fillings are required to cause the battery effect.

Scratch a plate with a metal fork. If your metal fillings hurt, then they are affecting your health.

Yet the anti-mercury scaremongers were all claiming that even microscopic amounts of mercury were harmful.

@political atheist

The only option your father has is dental implants that are biologically compatible with him. Definitely wouldn't want to install another metal that will poison him the same way.

Avoid dentures as they lead to the shrinkage of the jaw bone. My so called sorry sack of shit smoking father uses dentures and he has problems with them.

Yet the anti-mercury scaremongers were all claiming that even microscopic amounts of mercury were harmful.

One filling in a tooth of a child leaves the door open to corrupt dentists towards placing more mercury fillings without taking into account the LD50 of mercury. As it happened in my case and the OP's father.

Every little filling a pro-amalgam dentist installs does affect the dentist consistently by him breathing in the fumes released by the unhardened amalgam. Unfortunately there is still many unethical dentists still fascinated by mercury's amalgamation.

No amount is safe is to drive the point home that every little bit has a catastrophic affect over the long term to someone. Mercury does not belong in our mouths.

Every time someone breaks a mercury light bulb and makes a big deal. I laugh because the mercury released by my fillings is much greater yet everyone who've I've asked to pay to remove them never believes me and takes the word of the nice and fake dentists. Against all odds I stand and alone I will need to eliminate this corruption.

i heard implants can cause heart disease... i read that gold is the least toxic dental material and gold also chelates mercury...

I have composite fillings made with composite (Epoxy ?) resin which is exposed to an ultra violet laser at each stage of the filling process, and the Dentist uses an orange filter plate to protect his eyes and those of his assistant.   Because the filling is hardened as it progresses it can be used very soon afterwards, although a period is recommended before usual eating.   More expensive than amalgam filling, it is very effective and durable.   I also have amalgam fillings, and am very pleased indeed with my Dentist's work.   Individual teeth can be inserted directly into blank gums at some specialist clinics elsewhere, but the cost is very high - about £1,500 per tooth!

Most restorative materials are characterized by physical, chemical and mechanical parameters derived from test data. Improving these properties can be interesting in lab testing, but the real test is the material's performance in the mouth and the material's ability to be handled well by a team of dentists. In many cases, manipulation errors can undo technological advances in the material. Therefore, it is very important for the dental team to understand basic materials science and biomechanics in order to correctly select and handle dental materials.

ALL dentistry materials are based on heavy metals, regardless of what serpent language/deceptive words does your dentist say. Same with tattoo inks, ALL are based on heavy metals.

Is gold used as an amalgam with heavy metals in dentistry?

Also I've heard in the past, ivory was used, before it was banned. The same source said that since then, some have resorted to using pork teeth material.
