Our human eugenics programs versus domesticated animals have been singularly unsuccessful so I doubt there will be any viable species produced. Plus, with the wild becoming ruined, the only places they could go would be in zoos, so they would be in prison, effectively.

You never know, Tyler,  I think this planet was seeded with new life forms periodically by "intelligent design".

Maybe in the future, intelligent design is just another APP in your cell phone and it pops out of a dna printer.

My hope is that the aliens have a library of keystone species in the hole in the Earth in Antarctica. Part of the whole genetic science dogma may be that dinosaurs and mammoths indeed do exist in modern times and they are just waiting for the moment when it's time to restart earth again.

I agree that high tech in the future or in the past has "Noah's Ark" or archive of genetic seeds of various plant and animal life in the planet / planets.
