Intestine issues in the morning
« on: August 30, 2021, 10:27:41 pm »
Hello all,

Lately (at least 1-2 months as i can remember) i have been having some strange issues in the morning. There is a lot of noise coming from intestines/abdomen area. A bit like frogs sounds, like 'hunger' sounds, as well as a noise that sounds like some liquid is being excreted. The latter seems to come from the left side of my abdomen. In the morning it also always feels like i have/want to go number 2, but usually either some small stuff comes out or nothing. Every now and then there is some very light cramping that goes away either with or without pooping. Everything that comes out looks normal, and there is no pain or anything. No matter what i do or what happens on the toiler in the morning, after some hours I always feel perfectly fine and have no discomfort during or after eating. I have the idea that during my sleep my body is maybe getting rid of some things via the intestines, but it is having some trouble getting it out all the way.

I eat 2 times a day, at lunch (12:00-13:00) and at dinner(18:00-20:00), never feel like eating breakfast. I eat mostly raw meat, raw dairy and raw eggs. Sometimes a pickle or some olives and a piece of fruit. I have been doing this for about 1 year. Before 1,5 years of cooked with the same ingredients. My food intake is pretty constant, so now im trying to listen to my body a bit more and change some things. For instance, im eating less red meat, more pork/chicken/fish. And im moving away from a lot of butter for fat and trying to get some good lard. I have pure beef fat, although i like the taste i never really feel like eating it.

It seems like there is some indigestion/constipation going on. I also have bad breath, which seems to indicate digestion issues as well. I read a lot that constipation is because of to little fat, but i really wouldnt know how much is enough.Does anybody have any ideas on what to try? It has been pretty recent, so maybe something changed in my body although i do not think i had any big detox events or something. Have not really been sick for a long time.

Thanks in advance! :)

I'd try eating high meat and more animal fat. As well as innards, if you don't eat them yet. I can't stomach too much butter. Beef fat has been a game changer for me. The body knows when it has had enough of the animal fat. When your body adapts to animal fat you should crave it.
Trying is good. Perhaps you do better without dairy or eggs most of the time.

Well, I'm having the same kind of experience I notice whenever I eat raw (which I need to be more disciplined in).  The same intestinal noises happen to me at night, even though I'm not hungry anymore. I feel really good (really peaceful mood) when I eat like this, so I don't think anything is wrong. Maybe the digestive juices are being revived after spending so long on cooked food.

Dairy has always caused me similar intestinal issues, I would recommend eliminating it for at least three weeks to see if that improves anything.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the suggestions. I was also thinking of quitting dairy for a bit, eventhough i really enjoy drinking milk/kefir/butter. Hopefully i can get a constant supply of fresh pigsfat to replace the butter with, will discus this tomorrow with the local farmer. I do use milk as hydration, especially needed when i do sports or work outside... so i will have to see how to stay hydrated.

The intestinal noises also sometimes appear in the evening, and they do not bother me in those cases. It is only in the morning when i feel something is off. If it would be only noises, i wouldnt mind to much, although i do feel that normal/healthy digestion would be soundless.

@Sabertooth, you do not eat any dairy anymore now? It always gives/gave you issues?

@Odal, i do eat high meat indeed. I should try to do this more regularly. Due to the smell i eat it outside and due to the crappy weather in the Netherlands, i automatically eat it sporadically...

I don't tolerate dairy well at all, I can drink small amounts of raw cream, and eat small amounts of raw sharp cheddar, but if I eat it for more than a few days in a row, I will always have some digestive issues.

I would also caution against pigfat, because its very difficult to find good quality.

I personally prefer pasture raised sheep fat as my primary fat source.

small update. I think i forgot to mention that i drink milkshakes with lemon juice every day. One day I took a sip and my stomach started making the sounds right away. So i have stopped drinking lemon juice for about 2 weeks and it seems to help a lot. I have way less cramps in the morning and also less noises. I think i will give my body some more weeks to adjust again to living with lemon juice. Maybe too much acid intake.

I think Aajonus mentioned that lemon juice incites bacteria, although the 'old wives tale' is that it is anti-bacterial. When looking on youtube about the strange noises i found many references to SIBO. So maybe Aajonus was right and i had a bit too much going on due to the lemon juice.. who knows.

I did try to switch from butter to pigsfat, but the fat only kept for 2-3 days before fungi become an issue. I will still eat some every now and then, but i do not want to throw away pigs fat every week due to fungi. I do eat it with fungi, but when it turn completely blue/green on the outside im a bit more cautious with it.

I find myself trying less and less of AV's recipes. Making sure I eat raw meat daily makes me slowly detox unhealthy toxins that were stored in my body. No fruit or shake has ever helped me with that. I only use his high meat recipe.

I find that when I try fruits, they make my teeth hurt - surely what is good as a diet for humans, should not cause tooth (or any other) ache ? I do not have cavities, just weak teeth surface I suppose.

I eat only raw meat and drink water, rarely (like once every 3 months or so) I might have to do a social event and have to eat steak or something.

Sorry if this is a silly q, but how is AV's recipe different than 'put meat in jar, air every few days, leave it for a few weeks' ? I mean are there different recipes for making high meat ?

Well, that actually is his recipe! He introduced the concept of high meat to people!

Putting lemon juice in the milkshake was not something i got from an Aajonus recipe. Maybe he has a recipe for it, i do not know. I just thought one day to try spice up my milkshake that way and it was very refreshing and tasty. So maybe it is nice to do in the hot summer, but doing it daily does not seemed to do my body any good.

I also eat mostly raw meat, and add extra fat in the form of butter/pigs fat/beef fat. I do drink milk and make milkshakes with only eggs/milk/honey. Also used to do milkshakes with orange juice, but also stopped with those. Again, maybe only nice on a hot summer day. I also just try to keep it simple, that would be closest to nature i guess.

Yeah, the recipe for making high meat is pretty much the same everywhere as far as i see. But it seems that AV indeed introduced it to people.
