Blood in meats

Hi!

Today i'm deciding to feast on 1/2 lb of raw beef chuck, 3 raw eggs, a raw chicken leg, and half cut brisket.


I've been eating beef chuck for the past two days but when I get to the heavier meats, should I be concerned with any oozing blood from the meat?  Do I rinse it off?  better yet, is it safe to consume?

if it's grass fed, don't worry about it. lick up the blood on the plate and everything.

i don't have any experience eating raw grainfed so can't help you there

I'm almost certain it is grainfed because whole Foods have grass fed alternatives which i cant afford right now.

I've never found the taste of blood from grainfed meat remotely appetising. Blood from raw wild game or, to a lesser extent, raw grassfed meat, on the other hand, tastes amazing. Blood is a good source of iron etc.

thanks!!

the brisket i ate was very tuff.  really had to use my canine teeth for that one!  next time i'll have whole foods cut it up into mini squares or something i find using a knife to cut it is kinda tedious. I just chewed through it until i was able to  rip it apart and swallow. The blood tasted a bit stale, not really good nor bad.  Didn't get to try the chicken because my mom bought the pack from a supermarket.

I haven't had much blood from grass-fed yet. Anytime I do it is just a little bit that comes off the marrow while it sits in room temp. I've gotten a pretty bloody & watery cut of conventional bison(shoulder steak). Although the meat was tender compared to the same grassfed cut. The blood was to watery for me to taste.
