i 100% agree with Craigs recommendation of Dr. Wayne Dyer, i have 6 of his cds and i still listen to them over and over on my Ipod. he's like a modern day philosopher, but he'd tell you that hes just giving you knowledge thats been around forever. he's spiritual, but very practical as well, and draws on everything from the Bible to Buddhism to Native American Wisdom, everything. i remember on one of his cds, him getting a question from a woman in the audience that asked how she can focus on becoming more spiritual since she has no time cause she just had a baby. Wayne's response was that having and raising a child to live a valueful life is the most spiritual thing that someone can do.
probably the best book ive ever read(actually it was an audiobook so i listened to it) was, The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. its probably the only book ive ever "read" that i could literally recommend to someone as "the only book youll ever have to read in your life". seriously, its life-changing. but like myself, i would get the audiobook, just cause it seems that it comes across much better through audio, than it would reading it.
also, anything by Dan Millman is awesome.
also, the movie Rocky.
