Nutrition content of animals blood?

the Massai drink cows blood
So what nutriotion does this contain?....sodium,iron, protein?
I was thinking about getting pigs blood or cows when slaughtered.

And also, do you guys eat salt? Because ajonous says dont consume that.Should i be worried about my sodium intake if i dont eat salt?

    The life is in the blood.  All the nutrients are carried in the blood.  Blood being fluid, anaerobic bacteria and yeasts can grow in it, once it's not alive and flowing anymore.

Just about every food has sodium in it.  Tomatoes are one of many foods high in sodium.

My experience was that blood from wild animals tasted fantastic, but that blood from grassfed, and especially grainfed animals, tasted very bland. Don't see blood as a main food-osurce, IMO, you'll do better on raw meats, but it might prove a useful extra.

Re salt:- IMO, salt is a bad idea. It was never consumed in the Palaeolithic era, and salt in the Neolithic was primarily used as a way to preserve meats not meant as a food as such. And you can get plenty of sodium from other foods.

In my own case, I've noticed I get a similiar sort of nasty reaction(nausea) to excess salt in my food as I do with excess honey.
