I have real problem digesting salad and vegetables. It hurts my stomach.
Only fruits in small amount is OK.

I'm into vegetable juices now and often drink 1-2 coups a day instead of water.

The vegetables I drink now are cabbage (red or white), zucchini, cucumber, a little parsley & small amounts of root vegetables like carrot or cilantro.

Somehow I feel they cool down thirst better than water.

When i used to juice veggies, my stools would take the color of the juice. I just can't digest raw veggies at all wether solid or liquid, and some (not all) raw fruit. Cooked veggies did not give me that problem when i was S.A.D.  My digestion has gotta be one of the worst in history and i'm only 33 year old, not missing any organ. No problem on raw meat so far except for the occasionnal undigested fat (could be connective tissues/cracklings) that show up in my stools.

I also had similiarly-coloured stools when Idid the veggie-juice thing.

I eat some raw solid vegetables such as raw carrots(perhaps once a year or so), radishes several times a year, raw samphire in the summer, seaweed whenever I buy raw mussels as it's on the shells. I avoided raw salads completely until a few months ago when I had 4 raw salads with raw apple cider vinegar as a novelty and experiment. Also, abroad, I've had raw sauerkraut.

I would never bother with things like raw broccoili/kale etc.

How do you process them?  juicer, brand, setting?

I use a mono auger juicer (called max juicer).

Also I add a little clay and half a teaspoon of honey to each coup. Sometimes I take a teaspoon of butter before I drink.

i eat greens and veggies...i work at a juice bar and on the rare occasion i actually juice for myself, i make zuchinni, celery, parsley, cucumber, but even this is often too sweet and i do this perhaps twice a year deal?  we have a shitty champion now we used to have this waring...i have heard "masticating" type juicers to be the best because they replicate the chewing/cell breakdown process....still think juicing is silly but

from my experience, i am a person who has always loved and craved vegetables, i eat them whenever i see them in the wild, and still eat a fair amount...although as my health improves my cravings for them is smaller, is till crave "green" or cabbage and can tell a corresponding ailment or deficiency(i have poor assimilation still from allergies, perhaps when this clears up i will be able to get all nutrients from meat, now i feel like veggies are suppliments/powerful vitamins)

best veggies/greens, combine with fat/fatty meat/fish:
kale, cabbage(savoy, napa, red), lettuces (romaine, heritage varieties), raddicio, arugula, endive, bokchoy, cress/water cress, amaranth, lambs quarter, other wild greens, parsley, basil, tatsoi, alfalfa, mung, pea, sunflower sprouts, fennel, lovage, green beans when they are in season

salty veg to chew and but harsh fiber best to spit out:
celery, chard

hydrating veggies:
cucumber, celery, bok choy, aloe, cactus pad

good for intestines, digestion:
zuchinni, okra, fennel, parsleys and herbs, aloe(fresh is delicious!), cactus pads...zuch+cabbage juice seems to be a powerful tonic for ulcers etc....

raw roots, can be eaten as a meal unto themselves if blood sugar is not affected:
carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, turnips, other roots

best to juice for medicinal purposes:
cabbage, zuchinni, parsley, basils, garlic, ginger, cucumber, all of the other greens

i think fermented veggies are also beneficial, perhaps more so then juices....
if at all possible it is best to grow your own veggies/herbs or find a reputable source, you have to understand that "industrial organics" are still growing veggies that are going to be sweeter hybrids that are genereally larger and more nutrient deficient because that is what sells and they abuse their soil and the natural processes

this maybe controversial but i think each persons constitution is different, its also a pretty crude list and does not even go into different herbs, roots, etc that have beneficial medicinal qualities(tumeric, ginger, fennel seeds, burdock root, cayenne are common) ...i know that my ancestry goes far back with natives to southern north/central americas who became farmers, perhaps this is why i eat veggies....i also eat winter squash and seeds cooked(not boiled!) with a bit of water til it is warmed, you can tell when these things get cooked you can taste the sugars and if they get to this point i usually throw them out for the squirrels as it is too sweet for me to handle :)

How about fermented vegetable juices?

Not lately, but years ago.  Newly made raw non-salt vegie-kraut juice is nice, IMO.

I've never tried beet kvass.  Any experiences here?  It's not primal or paleo, but it's reportedly good, as written and spoken about by other sources.

When getting food from the Amish, they have this too.  There are Russian/American sources too of kvasses.  I assume it's like "cabbage-rejuvelac".

^ How long did it take to ferment and how did you do it?

Maybe if it's a mix of juices it will be different.

Man is not intended to consume vegetables, therefore I do not practice juicing or recommend it.
What Aajonus does not mention to readers is the fact that practically all vegetables have phytotoxins..
take cabbage and the entire Brassica family, for example, they contain a substance called
goitrogen which "suppresses the function of the thyroid gland by interfering with iodine uptake"

only way to eliminate it is by cooking vegetables, a law against the raw community
slowly I am beginning to see that the most basic diet for man is meat fat and water. period!

Consume Vegetables and plants for medicinal purposes.

I consume them rarely.
In wintertime, from time to time, I like to eat homemade pickled cucumbers (Polish style) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickled_cucumber
I summertime sometimes some radishes, tomatos with onion and garlic.

What about pickling?

I havent looked into it and have no zest to look into it.
Leave the veggies for the animals to consume. And in return
we'll ingest their vitamins/minerals they obtain from them
Good trade, eh

green stools from juicing, gas, diarreha, are symptoms of drinking more than your body needs or wants.  Try purreing the vegetable all by itself, without any other veg. then suck the juice out of the puree.  You'll soon hit a stop that will tell you just how little your body will tolerate in the first place.  This stop isn't there when you mix with other vegs.   To trespass this stop by mixing vegs and fruit in juices and throwing down your throat, always for me led me to ,"Gee, what's the next really healthy thing I can throw down, and more is better".    One can do the same just by chewing on the veg and spitting out the pulp.  It will surprise most as to how little we can tolerate when it comes to vegs like parsley or kale, or spinach....   Carrots, apples, zucinnis, cucumber,,,, a different story
