I think it's a great idea. Raw wild game is generally nutritionally superior to raw grasfed/organic meats and is often cheaper, provided you don't buy from a wild game specialist butcher.

Read Loren Cordain's studies and reports re this, he's the expert. Simply put, wild animals have much greater opportunity to forage and find unusual herbs, plants or meats that are not available to domesticated animals, so have better nutrient-profiles.

I highly recommend raw wild game to all RPDers. I mean raw wild hare for example has wonderful dark red meat as does raw wild mallard duck. Most organic meats, even 100% grassfed, tend to be lighter in colour and less tasty, so I find a long-term rpd diet of just grassfed meat to be rather boring, IMO. Though, admittedly, RPD newbies take longer to adapt to the richer taste of raw wild game by comparison to raw 100% grassfed, organic meats.

Probably vastly superior nutrition wise but a friend of mine told me beaver is close to uneatable when cooked. Very strong taste. However I have no idea about raw.

Porcupine is supposedly delicious (cooked)
Cheers
