Soil Based Organisms to restore Digestion and Health
« on: March 24, 2010, 10:52:43 pm »
Has anyone had any joy using SBO's.  I have been reading about Jordans Rubin's incredible recovery from life threatening crohns disease using SBO's http://www.crohns.net/Miva/education/articles/healthyliving_RubinHSOs.shtml , so have started eating soil from a local pristine forest near where I live in the hope that I to can regain my health.
Would be keen to hear if anyone has had any experience using SBO's or has any pointers for me.

Thanks

Tried one years ago, shat better than ever before, didn't make much difference otherwise.
IMHO it is best to cultivate the right internal microbes by eating raw zero carb and not being too clean.

I've heard of pets being cured of kidney failure.  The treatment that worked involved mainly SBOs growing on raw meat products.  I would assume it was good for their digestion too, as it did not alter it adversely.

There's plenty of evidence re soil bacteria being healthy:-

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/66840.php

I should add that rather than bothering with artificial supplements like primal defense or EM(effective microorganisms products) we RPDers mainly just go in for making "high-meat". High-meat is wonderful , making digestion easier and gives some amazing boosts to one's concentration/alertness levels:-

I've never bothered trying bacteria-rich soil, but I'm sceptical, I'd imagine it as being less effective than the bacteria in high-meat for various reasons. But perhaps your experience with soil will prove otherwise.

does this mean that if I were to say, go out into the country and find some really nice soil, that I should eat it? Or does it have to be a specific type?

I find this very interesting.

I cant find the website I read this on but vegans explain how it was possible for them to get b12 if there ancestors were vegan. Apparently at some point or another they would drop fruit on the ground into dirt (on accident) which would get on the fruit. Since b12 is created by only bacteria, the bacteria from the soil produced enough b12 to sustain them. There have actually been studies proving this possibility which means there may be other health benefits to.

Yes, I know, there was some study done on  an iranian tribe of vegans. They got their b12 because they would routinely use their own excrement for fertilising the soil in which they grew their plants. Plus, they would eat insects found on the plants.

AS  for FTH's request, Vinny Pinto the somewhat dodgy semi-RPD guru has an effective microorganisms info site which might prove useful. That is I bought some past EM products  from a link provided on that site. Can't google it right now for some reason.

Probiotic B / Flora BalanceTM
from http://www.stairwaytohealth.com/products.html

Is IIRC soil based organisms with an accelerator, however Dr. Constance is in Hawaii, while Probiotic B is sourced in Iceland. If you could find where they get it, you might just go there and eat dirt.

BTW how do you spell Iceland in your language?

My remedy for constipation is

do not over eat and do not eat cooked food.

These things are the only things that constipate me. Key is not to over eat.. for me personally that is. Then I go every morning like clockwork and I look and feel a lot better. But it sucks, because I love overeating.
