The only raw books I can think of that would fit within the categories on this site would be the Genefit Manual (instincto/anopsology) and Aajonus' material (Primal)

http://www.amazon.com/Genefit-Nutrition-Designed-Life/dp/1587611635

there are some reviews of traditional paleo diet books on http://www.rawpaleodiet.com/

the only other mentioning of RAF in print I know of in the raw food world is Carol Alt's books.

There are only cooked-palaeodiet books like those by Ray Audette and Loren Cordain and Michael Eades and raw, non-palaeo books by Aajonus Vonderplanitz, that's about it. No one has yet come up with a genuinely rawpalaeodiet book as yet.

I highly doubt there is anyone in the world who knows more about RAW PALEO than folks on this board. Aajonus is a pioneer but the people here are perfecting it through ruthless observation of what works and what doesn't. While he may have discovered the treasure the diamond is polished right here.

It's true that there is no true "raw Paleo" book. In the English language, Anopsology by Guy-Claude Burger and Roger Faloci comes close (it's more of an article than a book), but it includes "sprouted cereals" and in practice it tends to be too heavy in fruits (though Tyler would probably disagree on that point) and too low in meats, for me to recommend it, though Burger did warn to eat "a minimum of fruit (always stop in the pleasant stage)."

Guy-Claude Burger developed Instincto. Here is an Instincto book list mainly sourced from BeyondVeg.com (I don't recommend paying for any--Burger's ideas are available in Anopsology free at the links below):

La Guerre Du Cru (literally, The War of Raw), by Guy-Claude Burger and Roger Faloci, Paris, 1985, 221 pages (in French). Guy-Claude Burger claims in the book/interview to have developed Instincto in 1964.

Anopsology, (French title is Instinctotherapie--Manger Vrai, which means Instinctive Therapy--Eat Real), by Guy-Claude Burger, Roger Faloci, undated; this is the third edition of La Guerre Du Cru

Yes, the books on Instincto diets are the only ones with a rawpalaeo-type philosophy. Instinctos all agree with rawpalaeos as to what foods are healthy or not.

Instincto, incidentally, covers a very wide range of different individuals, from 100% raw vegans to Instinctos who eat mostly raw animal foods. Though, I would agree that most Instinctos fall into the c. 10% raw animal foods/c.90% raw plant-foods category.

I don't see 10% raw animal foods as being all that bad. I mean, the main problem with raw plant foods is that they are not complete foods - as long as one solves that problem by including a minimum amount of raw animal foods, everything's fine. Of course, it wouldn't work too well for me as I tend to eat too much if I splurge on the raw carbs, but others seem to do fine on such a regime.

*I must do a review soon of Burger's book War of Raw. It's a bit annoying that the only reviews I've put up have been of pro-cooked-diet books.

I wonder if it would be OK for me to add those 3 Anopsology pages to rawpaleodiet.com. Any copyright issues? Maybe I could ask Guy Claude Burger himself? Don't know his e-mail address but I think he appeared on the paleocru forum. *Maybe, I'll just link to the rawtimes articles instead, given my previous unfortunate comments re Burger on this forum.

Carol alt, you know the famous supermodel came out with a book not too long ago that created a lot of attention for the raw food world, specifically meat eating. Her book is titled eating in the raw. Its mostly about how she cured her ailments with a doctor through eating raw veggies and meat. Very cool that she made raw much more acceptable/ popular.

Hi Tyler,

I don't think GC Burger would mind, but anyway we can ask him. By the way, the English translation of his entire book "Manger vrai" is freely available on line here : Anopsology - A very new approach to human health

By the way, I don't think it is suitable to eat "instincto" for some years while being vegan or vegetarian. Almost all the instinctos I know of eat a lot of meat, eggs, shellfish, fish - most of us eat about everyday at least one of these RAF.

Regards

Francois

I think I may just link to the above article via a general article on the raw food movement.

Strictly speaking re philosophy/instinct, an Instincto should be eating a wide variety of rawpalaeo foods(ie not only raw plants - or only raw animal foods). It's just that I did note that many people in Europe view themselves as being Instinkto but who only eat c.10% raw animal foods.
