Mold on avocado, etc.

I got the impression that most members here have no problem with eating mold covered meat.
What is your take on avocado then?
I quite often have discovered much to my dismay that some mold has crept into my yummy hass avocadoes. It's usually at the hole where the stem has been.
Just now for example I cut open an avocado which was 95% fine but just had some whitish mold in a kind of hole at the top of the pulp.
My ex-girlfriend used to scold me when she had found me just cutting off that part and eating the rest. She said that even though you cannot see it the mold is in the whole fruit.

I'm aware that many raw-omnivore-related topics get put in the general discussions forum, but such topics should be placed in the raw omnivore forum most of the time, especially if they focus on raw fruit/veg in particular. Have done so now.

As far as fruit is concerned, this is odd:- I don't mind eating high-meat when it's mouldy but I usually just get rid of mouldy, non-fresh fruits. I might eat the non-infected part but that's generally about it. That's silly really. The only exception is raw medlars which have to be rotten in order to be enjoyed.

Rotting avocado tastes SO bad!!!

AV mentions using molds on berries and I think lemons for detoxing vaccines. He says that people will get lethargic from the mold for a month or longer, so eating decaying fruit might have serious side effects.

In the case of my avocado there is only a bit at the top, that is rotten.
The rest looks perfectly nice, yellow and soft. It will also taste nice. I'm sure about that.
Can that be eaten safely or should it be thrown away as the mold spores have-invisibly- already entered?

Not sure if there is a definite answer. I'd eat it any time though.

    Old avocado seems rancid to me.  I wouldn't want to eat it.

Is your avocado imported or local?
If it was a local avocado I would know point blank if it was still good to eat.

The avocadoes you can buy in Germany are to 99% imported.

I can state with confidence that every single avocado in Germany would be imported. 

It's way too cold to grow avocadoes there.  Avocado trees can barely stand temperatures below 20 F, and that's the cold-adapted California varieties.
