Your body needs to adapt to raw meat. Give it a couple of days and you should feel great.

You don't feel heavy and full after eating raw.  Sometimes it feels like you've eaten nothing at all.  This is the beauty of the diet, you can eat a pound of meat then go hike a mountain.  Try doing that on SAD.  Stick with the diet, eat enough calories so you don't crave any other crap

I'm still very tired. How long will this last?

You probably need to feed us more info:

your age, your illness / condition, state of health
have you done any detoxing
What time do you sleep
What line of work you are in.
What does a typical day of dieting is like.
Are your foods organic? Vegs? Fruit? Meat?

Hey there. I haven't crunched the numbers, but your diet seems heavy on protein and light on fat. Most of us get a significant amount of energy from fat, which you have to adapt to. Although it's an open question how much carb you need, I think most people would agree on that as protein is the hardest to break down.

e.g. if you only eat rabbits and salmon you can die of 'rabbit starvation' due to low energy.

I don't know why it's different for you now, but have you changed the general outline of what you eat since going raw?

Also, you can probably lose the broccoli, seeds and nuts as they don't really add anything to raw animal diet and might get in the way of digesting.

No, but then you include the linseeds which are 42 grams of fat to every 100 and the nuts which are 50 to every 100.

And a bunch of toxic components coming from the heating at high temperature of the coconut milk. Drop it !
Same thing for smoked salmon!

RAWPALEO MAN, RAWPALEO!  :)

400 grams of berries

Lunch

200 gram steak
4 pieces of brocolli

200 grams of lamb shoulder

Sequential eating. Do not food combine.

linseeds - drop it, seeds aren't paleo

tins of coconut ??? - sounds processed to me, not raw at all, processing pollution, press raw coconuts yourself if you are looking for coconut milk

cashew nuts - not raw, always has to be cooked to get rid of the toxic chemicals around it. Interferes with meat digestion.

Banana - is it organic?

Apple - is it organic?

Berries - what type of berries?

Steak - great, what cut? Grass fed? How much fat?

Raw broccoli? - yuck.  Also bad to combine this veggy and steak - bad digestion.  Drop the broccoli and just increase the steak size.

Smoked salmon? - not raw

Lamb shoulder - great. Probably should not combine with salmon.  Just eat it alone.

Happy adjusting!

Dude.... you need to eat more.  Your entire days meal looks like one of my meals.... food for fuel man.  Try calculating your calorie intake.

How much do you weigh?

Raw broccoli drains me..

I know someone on this forum mentioned somewhere, I think it was actionhero, said that if your first meal of the day is composed of suger/carbs, that your body will adjust to them and not be able to digest fats as easily during the rest of the day..

Maybe try eating some steak for breakfast instead of seed/nut/fruit?  It should be able to help you a bit with the digestion of fats and therefore giving you better energy throughout the day with a mainly meat diet.

I've just started this raw-paleo diet as well, and although I'm usually pretty hungry throughout the day, I haven't really had a lack of energy, actually more of an increase of energy, at least when I wake up.. but, it probably hasn't quite been long enough yet for me to know any real results.
Hi, I'm 32, around 5'4" and ~124lb, no real significant health problems other than hyperventilating when running/exercising (that my doc said was because of the smog/asthma), fatigue, and really bad acne.
I'd preferably be a carnivore/very low carb, but I have had a very hard time finding grass-fed or even organic fats, organs, and marrow. I consume raw dairy, but I do not eat much vegetables.. however, I do love fruit.
I live with my dad, so I also have to sneak any raw meat eating.
