pretty good stuff, although i don't know his understanding of fat requirements. but i do like this idea a lot. people could very likely grow a large portion of their food in the form of insects...

what say you?

He makes some very good points and through our evolution we most likely ate many bugs.

By the way, you already eat insects
If you're squirming in discomfort at that last paragraph, you probably won't want to read this next one either: Humans in the western world already eat an average of 500g of insects per year. The sources are predominantly processed food -- soups, noodles, etc.

Poor SAD eaters.

They are eating cockroaches and they don't even know it.

Now I'm telling everyone.

It's better than Soylent Green ;)

Insects are eaten daily in quite a few Asian countries. From caterpillers and ants, all the way to scorpions(maybe scorpions are not insects...but anyway). If you go to a food market in Guandong province in China, you will see many varieties.Chocolate covered ants is a very popular treat.

The western world always seems to be lacking in culinary freedom of expression.
Asians have been eating raw(cooked also obviously) exotic animal, fish, and insect delicacies for years.

Time to get with the program ;D

Filipinos in some regions eat cooked insects

- ant eggs
- locusts
- crickets
- beetles

They say it's good food.

The only one I've tasted is cooked crickets.  It's always available in a regional restaurant here in Manila.
