European summer paradise
« on: July 17, 2010, 01:59:48 am »
Sometimes (especially in winter) I envy people living in the tropics who can enjoy wonderfol fruits collecting them fresh from the trees or buying them on a local market when I have to order them weekly from some consigner of tropical fruits.

In summer all the envy vanishes. Now I enjoy not only tropical fruits but berries, fruits and wild herbs of my own garden. For example gooseberries:

My favorite, raspberries:

And currants, which are sometimes a little acid but very refreshing:

Some days there is no need to complete a meal with tropical fruits to be satisfied thanks to the plentitude of local european plants.

And grashoppers, ants und their eggs complete even albuminous meals. It's a real paradise. :)

in tropical place, i can imagine to eat those fruits to eat all year round. but in western world, to handle bitter winter, meats are the best choice. body needs to be kept worm. :)
