I know freezing puts bacteria into suspended animation does it also kill a proportion?

If I freeze slightly high meat mix, then defrost it and eat the next day, how much bacteria am I getting?

Cheers, Josh

I think it's supposed to denature bacteria and single cells, according to some hard-core scientific data I read once, but I don't think freezing actually kills them(except for a few). That said, I have never had any real success when trying to use prefrozen raw meats for making genuinely effective "high-meat".
