Whenever there is a mature tree in the yard that is a prolific producer people don't eat them all no matter where you are. One tree can make enough fruit for an entire neighborhood to feast on. There is an unbelievable waste of food in that way. If each suburban lot had just one food producing tree on their lot and everyone shared, no one would go without good food.

We have a big santol tree and last summer it just unloaded sacks of santol on the ground and roof. We can only eat so much and pick so much.

Been spending a lot of time outside in the extreme heat - usually over 100 degrees F in the shade, but working mostly in the sun so who knows how hot that i it feels like an oven. Been coming in to cool down and have found that recently I've been eating much more fruit than usually and still feeling good from it when usually I can't eat too much. I'm eating some wonderful dark grapes right now, for lunch I had watermelon. I seem to be able to keep working longer when I eat fruit to cool down.

i hope this photo shows up but these are some 100% grass fed and finished local lamb chops, they are actually quite a bit more pink then the photo shows and so super delicious, they have been sitting in the fridge for a week and have dried out pretty well, so they are kinda oily and chewy. i am taking them with me backpacking in the tetons

hope i dont get eaten up by bears

but really i am not sure i am having the proper level of bear-a-niona with this decision :/ anyhow noticed the fat, there is a lot of it and its white

Hi I am new here, and I am looking for a nutrition plan to follow so I can become strong. I wanted to know if Manny Pacquiao or Michael Phelps eat a Paleo diet. They are very gifted. I would like to emulate them by following the same diet plan they do. Do you guys have any idea what they eat???

I've been eating a variety of fruits. Peaches, apples, bananas.

For meats I've been eating raw calf's liver, pork, beef, salmon, lamb, buffalo.

I've also been eating massive amounts of raw grass fed beef fat.

Tasted a new honey. tasted Korean Kimchi. tasted some olive oil... yuck rancid.

Just came from the grocery for supplies. Our village is flooded again after raining non stop for almost 3 weeks.

I'm eating an organic nectarine, a raw pasture raised egg, a spoon of unheated honey with the rest of the cup raw grassfed unpasteurized and unhomogenized yellow local thick jersey colostrum.

Just ate plenty of my own tomatoes, then some road killed badger's liver and meat, then a bit of purslane.
Had a whole melon about one or one and half hour before this evening meal and I'll probably eat some fruit later.

The most tender deer I've ever had! Gorging on muscle meat because, due to budget (and for nutrient density) I live mostly on organs, fat and eggs.

This meat is seriously like manna, I don't think I've ever had meat this tender in my life, incredible, so grateful to the deer for dying so I could live.

I show respect by not wasting any of the animal, all is consumed or put to good use.

Thoth, u r luckey to have organs and fat buying at ur budget. My farmer is opposite. He charges me the most money for organs and fats.

Reallllly? That's super weird!! I've never heard of that before. At most, you see organs for about 4$/lb around here, but typically I pay 2$ or less, same with suet. Whereas grassfed muscle meat starts at $5/lb, and every other cut get's more expensive from there, with the highest being usually about $23/lb which I think is tenderloin and the other more tender cuts.

Have you looked elsewhere for better prices? Are you connected with the WAPF out there? They could probably help you locate less costly sources unless that is just a New York thing because of your population density out there??

Can you hunt on your land? Like are you in the suburbs or isolated in the country? If you can, take your own game on your property in order to get organs. As long as you're smart about it you don't need to worry about laws, just don't take more than you need.
