Why is it after having sex, most men want to either leave or have their partner go away?

Every time after sex(any form) I feel the need to be left alone & not bothered. It's nothing personal to my past GF or current. My friends & coworkers all agree that they are the same way.

 I'm aware of the chemicals released after the deed is done. What is the evolution theory to this?

Interesting.  In my pre-RAF life, I had always felt similar to DeadRamones and, having discussed it with male friends, found that they'd felt the same.  I've always found that the males wanted to 'escape' and the females wanted to cuddle or chat.  These days, I probably lean more towards the latter too although, to be honest, not totally exclusively.  I wonder if it is related to the loss of nutrients?  This may also be further validated, now I think of it, by the fact that I tend to follow Taoist practices now and rarely 'indulge' in 'unlocking the gate'!

I probably don't belong to the "most men" category.
I just feel the need to lie down and rest for some 5 minutes with my partner... at the same time fantasizing if a baby will be produced.  Happy time.

Whilst, perhaps, most of us WORRY about whether a baby will be produced?!     (particularly with the obvious fertility this diet blesses us with!!)

Its because you've just given up all your bodies energies by orgasming. If you go full blown orgasm you drain your energy, your chi, and all you do is want to shut off and sleep. Your body gives so much of its energy when you orgasm, which makes sense as your creating a new life. Precisely needs_and_wants!  Hence the Taoist practices I mentioned earlier. 

Personally, I limit myself to very few ejaculatory orgasms per year now.  There are a whole host of books on the subject but I prefer the more traditional taoist reflections and advice rather than some of the modern sensationalist, almost consumerist books on the subject.  Done correctly, chi can not only be preserved by certain practices but actually 'gained' during sex with the right partner from the females multiple orgasms!

Sully, go easy with unlocking the gate!  At your age and, obviously, with this wonderful diet you are capable of withstanding far more of it than most men but it's probably still important to retain such energies.  I'd recommend reading some of the taoist literature on such matters or even some of the westernised versions such as Daniel Reid's books.  Some of the same exercises used in building the 'stamina' required for controlling ejaculation should also help minimise or eradicate the wet dreams.

Still a good idea to 'get that woman and feed that need though'!

Needs & wants- The lost of energy makes alot of sense. Thanks for the input. I own a similar book like the link you recommend. I must say, it has improved my sex life tremendously!

I do masturbate frequently as a form of sexercise,relaxation & experimenting with my bodies sensitivity. I'm also aware of the loss of energy & nutrients that follows after ejaculating. That's why I save my ejaculations for what ever girl I'm with. There has been a few occasions where me & the girl relax,talk,or laugh together but about 60-80% of the time, I rather have a few minutes to myself.

I think "retaining" is for older men like in their 30s, 40s and above.

I dont know what you are talking about mate. After those backbreaking 2-3 minutes of labour, my woman falls asleep and I start up Cubase. Seriously though. The chemical balance in your brain changes after sex and it does stuff to you. Some want to sleep, my creativity explodes so I want to produce, etc. But I think that's all there is to it.
