In future I need to remember to take smaller bites, of a swallowable size, to ensure they will easily fit down my throat!
The carcass is still hanging in the fridge going slimy, waiting for me to have the 'guts' to try it

Iguana, it was a totally new taste for me - I am only just getting used to raw sheep and ox liver, and the possum liver has a much stronger taste. You can see this with the hens also - the first time they ate some they shook their heads as though they didn't like it, but then they were keen to eat more and didn't shake their heads the next time! Also I am a bit shy in front of the camera and eating too fast, trying to swallow lumps that are too big, rather than taking the time to take small bites and taste it properly. It was a bit more like a dare than a meal! I don't think it was bad tasting, just new and unusual.

I walked to my mums house last night and heard 3 possums along the way, so I will catch some more and let you know if the taste is improving to my instincts

Raw wild game takes time for newbies to get used to as it has a much stronger, richer taste than raw, grassfed or grainfed meats, especially the raw organ-meats. Once they're used to it, though, people usually prefer the taste of raw wild game.

Scallops and clams are next. I think ultimately I will stick with the fish for mainstays. Wild-alaskan salmon sits amazing with me. They have a lot of lake fish also at the market.

Loved your video. Oysters are the quintessential whole animal! Oyster knife is a good tool, unless you're GS, then use a machete.

Its strange how in the modern world violent movies are fine, videos of animals eating other animals are fine, but a human eating raw animal is 'shocking and disgusting'

It's even more strange that it's okay for our children to watch violence, act it out, see blood and disgusting things spewing out of humans, yet nudity is taboo. Love is more of a threat than hate to our culture.

Unfortunately, I don't have a video, but I figured a picture was better than nothing.

Chicken thigh! I was surprised that it was even good. The meat was a bit bland, but the fat and skin were actually very pleasant and flavorful. Almost as good as quail.

They're very high in manganese. Personally, I can never eat more than 5 or 6 of them raw at a time.

I wish I could get decent-sized clams in Europe. So far, the clams I found were all tiny. Of course, there is Brittany, famous for its hugely-sized shellfish.....

Why don't you just travel to Brittany once every few months, and pig out on shellfish while you're there?

Thats good to know,

I bought 6 of them and ate them over the course of the day, and felt great, but when I went back to the market they were sold out, and wont have any more till next week.

Perhaps if I were to eat as much as I wanted i would get an instinctive stop, like I usually do with other foods when I have had enough?
