Welcome! One more raw eater from Poland...
« on: October 07, 2010, 11:48:39 pm »
Hello,
I'm 20 year man and I'm on RPD for a year. LC for one and half of year. I've been reading forum more carefully for couple months. My main health problem is acne. Of course I look better now but I'm still healing myself. Also, I still reading old topics and finding out your stories. I hope I'll have enough time to write something more in other topics. Now I have idea. I'm looking for someone, (maybe with similar problems like me, maybe not) who is ready to personal contact. I'm so glad that forum about paleo lifestyle is exists but I don't stop! I would like to stay with someone in touch (Skype?) and exchange not only "raw experiences" but also other cultures and of course practise my English. Please, write me if you ready to meet Polish Thyme (Tymianek) :).

Hey.. welcome.

I've been on a RPD since august 2009. I started this diet because of acne as well. I'm 23. I can't say I'm acne free, but I'm almost there. I still get some minor blemish once in a while. But my oily skin disappeared, blackheads on my nose vanished. Large pores are getting better and some acne scars are getting better also. I did some wrong things though. I just recently started to eat organ meats, before I would buy them and let them rot and then just throw all away. I've been upping my fat intake recently also. I found wild never frozen seafood which is delicious just a month ago. There was a period I was eating too much meat. Some days 1.5 kilos. It was ground though, maybe that's why I ate so much. My diet is now more balanced and I'm eating less. My digestion is way better since these last changes.

I agree with you. I must watch out for proteins and carbs. Still I can't say what is worse for me. It's hard to cut proteins and carbs at the same time. .. -\

Nothing wrong with protein or carbs.

You're right. I don't say clearly. No limit for proteins and/or carbs in my case are bad.

I'm not saying either of them are bad. But too much protein as well as too much carbs are bad, at least for me anyway. Also I guess there're desirable ratios of macronutrients depending on one's goals.

No. LC have helped me in critical moment. Now I'm even on VLC. I can't imagine how to come back on carbs :o  Also, "bad carbs" still sticks in my mind.

You can get back to eating carbs by eating raw bitter melon fruit every day, eat it plain, or blender it.  Or you can get it in tea bags, bring it with you for meetings.

The nutrition in the bitter melon will give your body the minerals it needs to be able to utilize carbs / become insulin sensitive once again.

Or you can do green juicing Aajonus style if you can't find bitter melon.

Try it and it will work.

Thank you for advices  :) but I don't go into Wai till I get enough information and proofs. You may have right, I don't deny. But look - for a 1,5 year I've been healing myself with low carb, so it's not only metabolism issue. Now it's psychological problem. For couple reasons this curation can't be succesfull without my mind acceptation, it's obvious. I should take care of my psyche, I think.  :(
