Aajonus Duped Rawsome??
« on: October 08, 2010, 11:49:27 am »
I got the following email from the Rawsome Co-op.  Thought I should share it:

"Dear Rawesome Donors and Supporters:

Thank you for your support and prompt replies to our recent e-mail about our Rawesome Legal Defense Fund.

As you know, we are in great danger of closing our doors because the L.A. Department of Building & Safety has ordered us to shut down at 665 East Rose, our current home.  We have discovered that the current orders were instigated by the L.A. Health Department, the same group that tried to shut us down by their illegal raid in June 2010.

In order to keep Rawesome open and make healthy food choices available to our members, we are seeking donations for our Rawesome Legal Defense Fund.  We have hired a wonderful team of attorneys and investigators who are now defending us against these improper allegations.

If you can make a donation in any amount, please do so immediately to help keep our healthy food available to our members.  You can drop off your contribution on Wednesday or Saturday at the front desk. You can also make a donation through our Paypal account at:
http://www.realfoodrights.com/donate.html (you will see a link to a Pay Pal account for the Rawesome Community Defense Fund).

Please spread the word to your community to visit our:
WEBSITE:  http://www.realfoodrights.com
FACEBOOK page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Real-Food-Rights/136309869741658
TWITTER feed: http://www.twitter.com/realfoodrights
YOUTUBE:  http://www.youtube.com/user/RealFoodRights

Please tell people in your community to get involved and support every one’s right to choose healthy, organic real foods.  Please note that any donations to Rawesome will only be used to keep Rawesome open and thriving for our members!

One reason we need funding right now is because Aajonus Vonderplanitz, president of Right To Choose Healthy Foods, is REFUSING to give us any of the funds raised for Rawesome after the June 30th raid.  We were lead to believe that funds raised by Mr. Vonderplanitz for Rawesome would be used to defend Rawesome and keep it open for us.  Sadly that is not the case.

If you donated to Rawesome through Mr. Vonderplanitz and would like your donation refunded so that it can go directly to Rawesome, please email Mr. Vonderplanitz at: optimal@earthlink.net and ask that your donation be refunded so you can send it to us directly.

We are so sorry for this inconvenience.  As always, we remain truly dedicated to protect your right to eat healthy foods! If you have any questions, you can call us at 310-452-2244

Your Rawesome Family"

I already posted Aajonus' version of events yesterday in the info/news forum:-

"Hi, healthy-food lovers,
We have in-house problems at this time. We do not like to share our
laundry with you but there are details about the quality of our foods
that affect all Rawesome-Club-of-Venice-California members. For those of
you who are not Rawesome-Venice members please disregard this. Thank you.

Today, we received a report from independent investigators. It saddens
us to have to bring this to everyone's attention but it affects our
health and well-being. All o f you know that James Stewart runs Rawesome
Club of Venice. Because of inconsistency of food quality, we had a firm
investigate one of James Stewart's suppliers, Sharon Palmer of Healthy
Family Farm. She supplies so called pastured organic non-soy and
non-GMO-fed chicken and eggs, and until recently raw goats-milk products
and meats. We have signed documented evidence that most of the chickens
and eggs she had been selling us for years are bought from standard
commercial egg and meat suppliers that were not organic and not
soy-free. Also, we have evidence that Palmer does not use organic feed
for the few chickens she had raised from as long as 2 years ago up to 2
months ago.

Several of us called the irregularity of her chickens and eggs to James
Stewart's attention several times in at least 2 years and requested that
he buy chickens from a reliable source but he refused. Since James
Stewart claims to get the best foods that he can for Rawesome members,
why wouldn't he get them from the responsible and reliable Amish farmers
with whom we are already contracted?

The answer to that is even more saddening:  Mr. Stewart told another
investor of Healthy Family Farm that he, James Stewart invested $700,000
of his own money (made from profits from Rawesome) and he wants the
profits of the chicken and egg sales that is $10,000 monthly. It deeply
troubles us that Rawesome members have been deceived and usurped by
James Stewart and Sharon Palmer. It lacks integrity and care for
Rawesome members and their rights to healthy food and honesty about
them. It is a crime that we, Rawesome members have been eating
non-organic soy-fed chickens and eggs by our standards.

The raw goat's milk and cheeses we got from Rawesome until several
months ago were also supposed to have come from organically-fed goats at
Healthy Family Farm and Sharon Palmer. The investigative report states
that testimony from past employees at Healthy Family Farm, declared that
Palmer fed her goats non-organic feed and that Mr. Stewart was told. Mr.
Stewart got angry with them and told them they were lying. Why would
they lie? They helped raise the money to finance Healthy Family Farm.
They raised that money to fund the farm because James Stewart and Sharon
Palmer promised to raise the best-quality organically-grown products for
Rawesome members. They used cheap feed, bought commercial products,
doubled the prices and made bigger profits.

Sharon Palmer faces many problems with government agencies, and she
decided to dispose of her goats and only sell chickens and eggs that
were not organic. Rawesome now gets members goat's milk from our
contracted Amish Farmers. The investigative report states that Palmer
was and is a convicted felon of fraud on several counts. At least 2 of
the incidents of fraud involved talking out loans on elderly peoples'
homes, taking the money and letting the elderly people be evicted for
non-payment of loans. She has defrauded Rawesome members with Mr.
Stewarts knowledge and complicity.

Those are not the only incidents regarding falsely presenting foods as
something they are not. For about 2 years, James Stewart sold pressed
oils as raw, pressed under 105 degrees F. When our president questioned
him about the temperatures, James Stewart got angry and told everyone
that Dr. Aajonus Vonderplanitz was a jerk and trying to sabotage
Rawesome. However, Aajonus simply tries to protect people's rights to
healthy food, including his. He tries to make producers prove their
claims for their products. James Stewart insisted that he had put a
heat-gun on the cold-pressing machine and heat on the oils were all
under as low as 80 F. and not above 105 F. Two years later, Aajonus
happened to be present when the oils were pressed. Using James Stewarts'
heat-gun to test the oil, two of the 3 oils were from 124 - 171 degrees
F. Only then did James Stewart change the signs that those oils were not
pressed below 105 F.

Now that we have evidence of fraud by James Stewart regarding
goat's-milk products, chickens and eggs, all Rawesome members must make
him face accountability. We have poisoned ourselves with soy,
non-organic and possibly GMO and antibiotic toxicity because James
Stewart assured us we were eating "completely organic, non-soy-fed and
non-GMO" chickens, eggs and goat's-milk products from Healthy Family
Farm/Sharon Palmer. Is it appropriate for us to insist that James
Stewart get another source of chickens and eggs, such as from the Amish?

We will make the report available to those who doubt any statements
above. We realize that the above is more than you may have wanted to
know but it is better that you know the details before collect your eggs
and chicken from Rawesome Club Venice . There is more about James
Stewart and his attorney that a RTCHF-representative will issue within
12 hours. Like all of the Rawesome members, we are people just trying to
be as healthy as we can.
Sincerely,
Right To Choose Healthy Food
Dr. Aajonus Vonderplanitz, President
Jeff Slay, Vice President
Louis Cangemi, Secretary"

Post Aajonus' reply.

I have a document I can email to you.  I tried posting it earlier, but it was not the right format.  I think it helps explain where aajonus may be coming from.  Maybe you can convert the document and post it, if you find value in it.

AV's response definitely shows others at Rawsome in a poor light, but dues not explain why he is holding finds.  His withholding of defense funds was the original issue.  Why is he withholding defense funds?

Presumably, he does not want to fund an organisation which is defrauding its customers until they get their act together.

There are two separate issues here:

1. collecting funds to sue the government for the illegal raid and theft of food

2. collecting funds to defend against the "violation of building safety" claim.

From what I understand, Aajonus is giving money only for #1, but not for #2

Here's an excerpt from one of his recent emails:

"Your donations are to offensively and defensively protect the rights of members to own, distribute and collect healthy food under Constitutional means and for no other purpose. Right To Choose Healthy Food Trust has no investment or equity in any property. Therefore any property problems with government, such as building and safety issues has nothing to do directly with rights to healthy food. To use such donated funds to resolve property and building and safety issues could be considered misappropriation of funds and exhaust funds for defending farmers and clubs rights to healthy food. At the Rawesome Club at Venice, CA, James Stewart built all buildings without permits and may not be permitted to use any of those buildings. His hiring attorneys to handle that situation is not related to Rawesome members' ability to acquire or transport healthy food.  Rawesome may function at any location where building permits were obtained."

Here's today's email from James:

Dear Rose Ave Rawesome Club members,

For reasons that are not entirely clear to me, Aajonus Vonderplanitz has launched an all out assault against myself, James Stewart, Rawesome’s founder, and one of my suppliers, Sharon Palmer. We are saddened that he has chosen this course now, when more than ever we need to show unity in order to prevail against the government’s onslaught.

For your piece of mind, know that his claims regarding poor animal feed quality, negative laboratory testing results, alleged felony convictions, high temperature oil processing and huge profits are inaccurate and outlandish.

I have always been transparent and shared with everyone "exactly what I know” about the food represented in our club. If a food producer has lied, the minute those suspect items were proven to be false, they were removed from our club.

A new Legal Defense Fund has been set up that is entirely under our control and it is our pledge that all donations to Rose Ave Rawesome Club will only be used to keep our Rose Ave coop club open for our members.

Without your help and support, we will not have enough funds to continue our legal defense and keep Rose Ave Rawesome Club open. Please do your part by making a contribution to our Legal Defense Fund through our Pay Pal account athttp://realfoodrights.com/donate.html.

You can also help by sharing links to our website, blog, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channel with your community.

I know the problems didn't just start now.

He talked about the heated oils at last years potluck.. That happened probably around August 2009.. It's nothing new

My friend wrote me this two days ago.

Also, I've seen stuff about the members donating $800,000 to Sharon Palmer and James Stewart to start the farm dated and sent to a friend two years ago.  Why would aajonus say her animals were fed soy or from regular commercial outlets?

I appreciate your input.  However, I would prefer to see some sort of official documentation or transcript.  You mentioned that you've 'seen some stuff about the numbers donating 800k...' - - could you be more specific?  Could you provide a link to where you saw this or recount exactly what you saw and where.

Also, I have no idea why Aajonus would say her animals were fed unhealthy feed.  But that doesn't mean I am immediately willing to trust his every word.  He made a lot of allegations and I think he needs a lot of evidence to back it up.

I have a document of that. It needs to be converted to attach it to a post here. I mentioned that earlier in this discussion. I'm not good with technology. If someone shows me how to convert it, I will post it then.

    I get this:

An Error Has Occurred!document.html.You cannot upload that type of file. The only allowed extensions are doc, gif, jpg, mpg, pdf, png, txt."
, when I try to post it.

When my friend talked about the heated oils, he did mean the edible oils for sale at Rawesome.

I hope everyone has been eating healthy all along.  I don't know if they have been though.

ok, it is a web document for internet. Hypertext Markup Language. The easiest thing, I reckon. I just to highlight the text you want to share, copy and paste it into a word or wordpad document, and then send that doc. Or just post the text directly here. There may be converters, but if you are not that tech savvy I think its just going to be more of a headache.

Dear Rawesome Member:

As a Rawesome Club Member you have come to depend on Rawesome as your source for certified organic, totally raw products.   A significant number of Rawsome's foods come from single producer, Sharon Palmer, of Healthy Family Farms, an Organic Sustainable Farm.  Sharon has been providing Rawesome with organic raw goat milk, goat milk whey, organic raw unsalted best-of-the-best goat cheddar, mozzarella, feta and herb flavored chevres, organic (no soy) free-range eggs, meat chickens, duck, cornish game hens, chicken feet, necks and gizzards.  It is Sharon's desire to become fully sustainable and Rawesome's dream to have fresh local foods with full control over the production and supply of those foods.  In that spirit,  Rawesome entered into a six-month lease purchase with Sharon of 51 beautiful acres in Santa Paula, California.  A separate, adjacent 71-acre parcel has already been purchased.

In March 2008, Sharon moved operations to this new location.  Since arriving, the new farm, animals and production facilities have all been certified organic.  In 4 short months she has built:  1) A full in-line dairy to milk her goats and future sheep  2) Two chicken pens to house over 4,000 free-range chickens 3) An outdoor secured area to house meat poultry.  A 1930's building has been fully restored and converted into an egg-packing facility.  Both electricity and water have been extended throughout the 51 acres.  The entire property has been fenced for small animals.  Sharon has purchased 140 registered milking goats along with 2 prize bucks for breeding, 300 turkey chicks and three Great Pyrenees dogs to protect the herds.  An on-site cheese plant complete with walk-in refrigeration and loading dock are being completed this week.  Improvements on the property total about $350,000.00.  We are seeing the beginnings of the dream - a fully diversified sustainable farm.

In addition to Rawesome, Sharon has continued to supply 18 Farmer's Markets and local chefs with her amazing eggs, poultry and goat cheeses.  Rawesome will soon have a website with ordering capabilities enabling us to better serve all members and expand deliveries in Orange and San Diego counties.  Members will find latest developments, new products, availability and pertinent issues detailed on the website; a Rawesome Newsletter is also forthcoming.

What's next?  Hydroponic organic greenhouses will be built in the very near future and will not only grow organic local produce, but will also supply fresh feed for the the livestock.  Excess whey from cheesemaking will feed European pigs (milk-fed pork).  Grass-fed dairy cows will provide raw milk, butter and a range of dairy products.  Sheep will be purchased for milk and cheese and lamb for meat.  All open pastures will be level-graded this fall for year-round grazing.

The property has been appraised for its purchase price of $1,999,000.  The current mortgage environment limits the loan to value amount to $1,115.000.  A  1st loan has been secured in that amount.  We are seeking one or more investors whose investments would be secured by a second trust deed in the amount of $800,000 at an 8% interest rate.  This secured investment can be a long-term commitment with an interest in the LLC and tax benefits or a short-term investment with both principal and interest due in 60 months.  As you can see we are willing to be flexible with terms to meet an investor's financial goals.  Investments to secure the property insures a home for the animals and production facilities.  Completion of on-site production facilities insures sufficient cash flow to maintain operations as well as fund future expansion.  We have a purchase date of September 17th, 2008 and are in need of investors who would like to share in a secured interest.  Healthy Family Farms has always been debt-free.  All profits are re-invested.

If you are interested or know someone who would like further information, please call Sharon at 805.421.3301 or James at 310.864.5830.  Our deadline is the 17th of September.

More from Aajonus re Rawzsome issues:-

"Hi, raw-food lovers of Venice-branch Rawesome,
Sadly, denial of the toxic-food-supply charges against James Stewart and Sharon Palmer is how they have responded for at least 2 years. (See James Stewart's response below). They left us, RTCHF and Aajonus no other choice. Stewart and Palmer lack integrity and concern for customer's regarding members' health by having provided eggs with mercury, chickens with arsenic, and non-organic goat's-milk products. Eight paragraphs down is one of several witness-testimonies (with laboratory tests) that should settle any doubts about James Stewart's and Sharon Palmer's lack of integrity. We want Rawesome open but we do not want any member subjected to anymore mercury in eggs and arsenic in chicken. That is the issue of our actions. We want credibility and honesty regarding food supplied to members.

Rather than James Stewart finding another location for Rawesome, James Stewart begs for your donations to be wasted on legal fees. Know that any donations sent to Rawesome Legal "Defense" Fund will not go toward resolving anyone's rights to healthy food. That will only be resolved with RTCHF's lawsuit against FDA, CDA, LCDHS and City Attorney for raiding Rawesome on June 30, 2010. Those branches of government have not returned to enforce their closure of Rawesome. They have been notified, again, that they lack jurisdiction and consequently violated members' Constitutional Right to Association.

Mr. Stewart faces building and safety code violations for building and installing ALL of the structures on the his property except the toilet. However, even there, he did not get a permit to connect it to the city sewage system. If anyone donates to his Legal Defense Fund, that money will be wasted on attorney-fees to fight for his right to have those structures on his property. It is not a Rawesome legal defense fund issue. According to all Supreme Court-rulings, cities have authority to enforce building and safety codes, If James had been responsible and attained permits years ago, he would not be in this situation. If he would simply find another location for Rawesome, and use organic (by RTCHF-standards) chicken and eggs, there would be no problems.

James Stewart will not be able to keep those structures on the property without obtaining permits. He and his partners in the lot will face severe financial penalties if he continues to keep those structures on the property. Your donations will be wasted on legal fees and penalties. James Stewart wants you to pay for delaying his ultimate removal of Rawesome from the lot he partially owns. If he were practical, he would simply find another location for Rawesome that already has permits as several attorneys and a successful land-owner advised him.

Let us share a similar circumstance. Government branches mentioned above want Aajonus Vonderplanitz silenced and out of the way. They do not like that he has been effective in stopping them from closing farms and clubs that provide healthy food for members. They investigated everything they could about Aajonus. They discovered that he lived in a house that was built without any written permits 19 years ago in Malibu. Aajonus had rented the house for 11 years. Those governments pressured the City to evict him. The owner tried to negotiate with the city attorney but it was fruitless; the city attorney would not bend. The City could have grandfathered the house but refused.  The City told the owner that the house in which Aajonus was living had to be vacated by June 2010. Aajonus had to pack all of his belongings and store them before he left for his Asia-tour in May. Aajonus will always contest things that he can contest but to contest building and safety code violations where permits are required is time-consuming, expensive and useless. Aajonus did not even consider using RTCHF-funds  to "defend" his desire to remain in that wonderful house and simply searches for another home while he is homeless.

Serendipitously, we were contacted 2 weeks ago about starting another members-food club on the Eastside of Los Angeles so that members who lived on that side did not have to travel 1.5-3 hours weekly to get their food. We agreed to help the 2 people who made the request. Rather than supporting Eastside members, James Stewart called one of RTCHF-contracted suppliers and asked him not to produce any foods for them because he does not want to lose any profits; selfish greedy desire for monopoly? James does not have the authority to make such decisions. He does not have the contracts with the farmers; RTCHF members have the contracts.

If everything goes as we are told, we will have a new outlet for our quality raw food within in 2 weeks but we asked them to centrally locate the club in case James fails. No one at RTCHF has any monetary interest or investment in the proposed new outlet, nor any control except food quality, so we do not know how soon it will open. We will notify everyone when it has materialized.

Here is the testimony regarding Stewart's and Palmer's eggs and chickens:

what [was] stated about the activities of the healthy family farm/sharon palmer and james stewart is even worse:

since i have a daughter which unfortunately has been lead (heavy  metal) exposed earlier in her life, we monitored her digestive system
and metabolism regularly through highly qualified doctors and lab tests.

she is on a very strict diet because of her lead exposure.. we  have been buying all our meat and eggs through rawesome for a
     long time.

we found out our daughter had arsenic and mercury in her system, which  she didn't have before. we had no clue where that came
     from.

we have done many lab testing on all the food we eat, amongst many others, and found out hffarm (Healthy Family Farm - hff) eggs
have mercury in them and hff  chickens have arsenic in them.  i have solid scientific proof for this. we've spent thousands of  dollars
    on testing.

i have confronted james with this and he basically reacted [with denial and anger]. we also have proof james was aware of the fraud
with this food and didn't care at all.

i have pictures showing hff [unfreezing and repackaging different brands [as their own], and feeding animals low-quality grain/food].

to be very honest with you, we feel these people should be brought to  justice.  (We withheld the name to protect the witness.)

That is so sad. James and Sharon should be apologizing rather than denying. We do not understand their lack of conscience and how they can go day after day defrauding, harming children and other members, collecting big profits and denying responsibility. Mr. Stewart only feigns concern for our members when it comes to his "Healthy" Family Farm interests.

RTCHF does not have Rawesome's members information because Mr. Stewart failed to give them to us. If you know amy members of Venice-branch of Rawesome, please contact them and share all of the information we divulged about this matter. All of them need to know that the eggs and chicken was and still may be contaminated.

We are holding an open-house so that members (except James Stewart and Sharon Palmer's attorneys) may see photographs, read the investigative report and testimonies on October 14th between 9 AM - Noon at:
1 Buccaneer St. #5, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292
(Just two blocks South of Washington Blvd on Oceanfront Walkway
where Venice and Marina Del Rey meet.)

    To: organicchef@gmail.com

If any of you have any other questions, please feel free to stop in the office next time you’re in our club. As always, we remain truly dedicated to not only protect your right to eat healthy foods, but to ensure that you have a place to go where that choice becomes real. Please let’s focus and stay together as a community.

With love and in great appreciation of your support,

I know the problems didn't just start now.

My friend wrote me this two days ago.

I'm listening to a recording from last year.  Aajonus goes on and on about Rawesome's oils not being raw.

These people seem worthless at this point in time, AV has helped me greatly but I feel it is a waste of time watching them go back and forth. My solution is educating as many people in your own community as possible, even non RAFers, anyone. Also communicating with public officers, as many as possible. PLEASE Youtube " notice of understanding and intent and claim of right" if these people are able to create lawful excuse to disobey government in order to grow pot and sell it(yes govt keeps it very quiet except for you tube). Then we can create lawful excuse to eat healthy food. Litigation is pointless, who cares what government thinks? or even the majority? You can protect yourself all you need is pen paper and youtube. I wish you all the best.

Aajonus created an entire website dedicated to exposing the "Healthy Family Farms" fraud.

http://www.unhealthyfamilyfarm.com/

On one hand, I am very sad and sorry to hear about something like this. On the other hand, it's obvious that it took a lot of effort and resources to put this all together, and I'm grateful that Aajonus did it.

Aajonus often makes claims without proof. But not this time.

Has anyone seen the documents declaring sovereignty from food litigation on the above website?

Some interesting stuff. It may be a good idea to have something like that filed, given the FDA's increasingly aggressive attacks against raw fooders.

How would some documents prevent the FDA from seizing computers and closing the operation down?

Documents would not prevent it from happening (as we can plainly see),
it would only expose them as violent tyrants who have no respect for our rights.
As the evidence piles up the common person would be insane to support them.
A right is only a legal claim. Without documenting the legal claim, it is just a word in the wind.
