cool, glad you liked it. i've had some issues with my mom recently (similar to the problems you've been having with your dad), but i don't see this film as a direct attack on parents or anything. i see it more as an attack on the dominant culture where the mom in the film represents the illogical aspects of our industrial civilization. anyways, that's what i got out of it. any other interpretations? would love to hear them

I kind of saw it more of how everyone around us doesn't know whats really going on when it comes to health. The few that do, seek it and others will follow but not on their own. But besides that, the dog head freaked me out lol I have two shih tzus so...

@the president
Yeah I thought the same baout the dog meat haha. Knowing that the dog was fed garbage.

I like it. But I would have liked it more if would have tried to guide his mom. I guess what I took from it, he hated the way society was.
But also hated his mom because she was so consumed into societies ways.

So he had to leave her.

But my mom thankfully didn't when I when she raised me (but she smoked when she was younger for a bit I think).
And I was breast fed for 2 years I think.

I always feel bad for children who's parents smoke. I was fortunate. This kid in the movie had NO CHOICE!

I wonder how my kids picture me.

Always hammering about raw paleo diet and anti-drugs frothing at the mouth against drug doctors and healing people of incurable diseases.

My eldest boy got pissed one day when I said don't eat the cooked vegetables, I'd rather give you raw salads.

Hahaha. That is really funny.

I love my mom . I am lucky! She even goes wild berry picking with me. And ate my wild rabbit stew. :)

I have no kids. But my nephew loves me. He eats raw jerky with me. He knows fruit and meat is the best.

That's the only thing I don't like about the video. We have to change the world, not run away from it.

Thank you for the post. I really appreciated that.
Although In reality I think maybe 1/5 of the children would have ran into the woods and the remainder would have died from cancer or diabetes...
I work with children and almost all of the parents we work with are SAD eaters. A few of the kiddos are dissident naturally. They inspire me! Just look at all of the children deemed "adhd" and "autistic" nowadays. but if I were to suggest to their folks to try eating raw meat they would almost all think I am a nut cake.  -X  this world is such a trip. I just show them all the love I can, and hope they save themselves when they are older.
However.. ADHD meds are something I will speak out against always to anyone. As I was on them for 7 years.
I don't blame my mother though, she was duped into thinking it helped, so I love her for trying. and my dad fought for years but was ordered by the courts to back off, as they are owned by corporations.

i totally understand this. but, i would argue that the kid did try to help others. he went back and tried got other kids to join. the adults he left behind symbolize the stubborn people in society who will just never be open to change. you can try all you want and it just won't happen. not saying he shouldn't try, but you gotta be able to pick your battles.

Maybe an only or eldest child might be more likely to sway their parent, as that can be particularly precious to some parents.  There could be several factors as to whether we can change them, or should leave and affect more directly positive changes in others instead.

God will choose the right people to come out of the shit trap. i was on adhd meds (strong doses of 20mg dexidren when 6opounds twice daily). everyday i said i felt sick and hated taking my pills and told my mom and refused but she said "your marks are so much better and your teacher says ur better" and forced me. i needed more gym class and better food. simple. i came to the light in late teens early twenties, and many will too.

the main thing i am concerned about is the quality/availability of food in future. specifically meat.

President...what I know of your situation so far is so similar to mine it is just creepy... and so many others are living what we went through right now. It just makes me sick. and to think people still trust doctors
I hope things between you and your folks get better

yea that is a big problem. I am not sure about up north but down here healthy local food is being attacked by the big businesses using the federal organization as a cover. when I speak about the importance of food (not even RAF) to most people just look at me like i am a nut. they just want to watch tv, eat candy, and not give a damn. I was the same way but could never go back, truth is habit forming. I really wonder how all of this is going to play out....

All of us may have our differences, but I am positive that the most of you I have met on this site will be fine no matter what happens.

I only recently joined, but I am hooked(if you have not noticed lol). You all have been a great help. I don't talk to many sane people where I am at, to say the least. Thanks for being here. I felt like I might just be going nuts, but I continued because the energy from the meat is amazing. Not only did I have no exterior support, but I was (and still am) meeting tough resistance. I would probably be back to smoking pot and apathizing by now if it was not for this forum.

Well, actually it was Craig Bates.

ya i feel the same. i only know 2 paleo people in real life (my chiro's) and they are not into grassfed meat or raw, but they got me going and are def good role models. raw/grassfed THEN ZC is like getting blackbelt to me.

what bothers me kinda is when i talk to people in real life and they think they are in on the real deal (diet) but have no idea of raw paleo, and say its crazy kinda. i was like this in april, but was def curious. in july i started. grains are ADDDICCCITNG as shit.

One thing i find really entertainging is everytime a dif person talks to me downtown when they see me having my raw lunch i hear about a new worm/parasite/gouts/no fiber... list goes on. i laugh inside and say i am not concerned as its organic grassfed meat. shuts em up quick
