I remember seeing it when it came out when I was a child,( my mother and Aunt always exposing me to the most far out kind of movies, books, and radio shows) Haven't watched it since, but my girlfriend wants to, but I'm too stubborn to pay for any content, and the library doesn't have it .
Going back and re watching some of the clips of this movie makes me wonder how much of my thoughts have been somehow shaped by all this kind of subliminal exposure. Its uncanny to me how the scene when the man is talking about how he became ascended after many life times on earth, and then goes about reading a digital language, has so many similar concepts to what I've been recently pondering. I had forgotten about the movie entirely until someone mentioned it at our buddhist discussion group, right after the blood moon. There is a kind of synchronicity to the way these thoughts cycle through from individual to individual and are evolved throughout ones lifetime and somehow get passed on for the next generation to continue. I cant help thinking that people who come into and out of each others lives have a purpose and are given a choice to work in concert to mutually support this evolution, or they can live in ignorance and have to be held back. (Its a kind of new age Karma)
An other far out movie that is in a similar vein of how our thoughts control our destiny, fear holds one back, Dreams are real and the extra terrestrial is much closer than we think, is the Lathe of heaven. Its also a bit on the silly side, and its free on youtube.
