hey guys, how are you?

My dentist recommended two fillings to met today, after I got some X-rays done. I'm not sure what to do, apparently the cavities are small and only noticeable by X-rays. I would only want to have unhealthy teeth drilled, only if it's necessary. Here is a pic of the Xrays...it's the last 2 molar teeth(if you can find them) that my dentist wants to fill. \

I think I have may of needed fillings a few times over the last few years but they have healed I think. You can heal your teeth but like most things problems come and go.

I would leave it. If you went to the the barbers and asked him if you should get a haircut, what would he say?

just avoid the mercury fillings, although many dentists don't use that anymore

Teeth are self healing like the rest of the body, given the proper inputs. You need vitamins A, D and K. These are absolutely critical for tooth and bone health. They are also some of the most difficult (D and K) to get in our modern societies because they only come from grass fed animals eating fast growing grass the roots of which must reach down in to the mineral beds under the soil. In other words you basically either need access to green pastured butter/cream or you need fermented cod/skate liver oil from green pasture's the company. Also eating a lot of liver and marrow and other organs will help with this.

Stay as far away from dentists and mainstream doctors as you can, they are death and poison, nothing more!

I would say that is true of the majority of them.  I still believe there are a  couple of them out there that will save your life if necessary in a pinch, and I don't just mean when they themselves had just caused the problem.

Bharminder, do you oil pull?  Do you clean your teeth?  If so, what do you use?  Commercial toothpastes have glycerin and other things that stop teeth from doing their normal job of self healing.

I don't oil pull but every post I've seen on it here in the forums makes it seem very promising. I usually brush once a day with a fluoride free toothpaste and a soft bristle brush. Usually I use either clove powder, or turmeric powder, or more usually I use the fluoride free toothpaste called Theraneem, or Herbal Himalaya.

My dentist once told me I had a small cavity, also only found by xray. He encouraged me to get it filled before it got any larger because he knew I was leaving for Italy soon and said that I would not get good dental care there.  This is before any diet change, I was still eating as my family taught me :D  Anyway, I thought about it a lot.. with fear  -\, but decided not to get it filled.. I just wasn't in the mood for having my tooth drilled just then, and not fond of fillings.  That was the last time I saw that dentist.  I've been to three different dentists since, and all have complimented my teeth. No mention of a cavity!!

My mouth is full of fillings. We got our mercury ones removed. I felt better afterwords.

Since I started raw my teeth do not present problems. Now I only brush if I am going "social". Sugar and fruit bring back the dental pain big time.

I also tend to bite my lips if i eat sugar or fruit, as the skin puffs up a bit so my normal chewing is off aim.
Cheers
Al
