gluten intolerance

What are some good ways to heal the intestines faster from the effects of glutens and other grains? The raw paleo diet does heal them for me but i am interested in some other supplemental approaches to help speed it up. I ate some gluten foods while i was on vacation and now i am regretting it :(

overdose on several different probiotics, 500% to 1000% of the recommended dosage on the bottle.

You should not expect that your intestines will ever recover fully from taking gluten, especially if you are intolerant to it. Even if it feels fine after a while, irreversible damage may have been caused, just like to your blood sugar and insulin resistance.

As for probiotics, I wouldn't recommend them, and I especially wouldn't recommend overdosing on them.

Wouldn't 'clabbered' raw milk be better than a pro-biotic, since pro-biotics are just pasteurised yogurt with added bacteria anyway right?

I'm just trying to be objective. Otherwise people might be more inclined to take gluten again next time if they come into a vulnerable situation and get cravings. I think that irreversible damage explains a lot that happens to humans during their life. We know that paleo diets can reverse much of it, but not all.

I just think they're unnatural, not the way you should be getting your nutrition. I don't buy into the idea of it. If it were found that there were some bacteria that I should really be getting and would be getting in much larger quantaties in nature and is known to profoundly impact health, like vitamin c, then I might get them. But I think that's a bit far-fetched.

Overdosing on probiotics for a week or two has worked splendidly for me, my wife, my mother in law, our maid, my friend, our children... no side effects here.... only great effects.

And it is temporary.  It is effective treatment. Modern 21st century method of gaining additional beneficial bacteria. Very safe.

And you will never know it unless you try it.

With your logic you don't even like high meat.  :P

my experience is that trying to speed up recovery or healing with supplements only sets me back further.  the fastest healing/getting back on track has always been raw animal food.

I agree with Ioanna,

Try raw animal food ONLY first.  
Some 2 or 3 days of raw zero carb (un-condimented) should help your intestines heal.

IF this does not work, then you might like to try other things like probiotics.

I think that healing clays like Pascalite can be good for healing intestinal issues, quite possibly.

Since raw paleo diet worked well so far, see what two or three days of rpd eating does. The other suggestions are realistic, but they might not be necessary if you only need to recover from your recent gluten indulgence.

well i'm definitely never eating gluten again. what bad symptoms.
i am going to try some of those probiotics and see what happens. i know i can definitely get healed up by using the rpd which i will be, but i want the intestines to heal up faster so i can start flourishing better. the good news is i get 1/2 off probiotics where i work at.
