Coriander kills bad e.coli!
« on: August 30, 2011, 05:47:26 pm »
Portuguese scientists found out that coriander kills many bad bacteria and could be used as a remedy for food poisoning:

English article:
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/30/science/30obcoriander.html

German article:
http://www.welt.de/gesundheit/article13571594/Korianderoel-haut-die-staerksten-Bakterien-um.html

If I get ever a food poisoning from raw (toxic grain fed) meat again, I will try coriander oil....

Is cilantro the american name for coriander??

I just remembered that Aajonus mentioned cilantro very often and recommended it to many people (during his sessions, somewhere in 2000-2002).

In my region, cilantro is the name of the plant in Spanish. Cilantro refers to the green leaves of the fresh plant, also called Chinese parsley. Coriander usually refers to the dried fruits of the same plant.

I love cilantro leaves and coriander seeds when I'm in the mood for herbs/spices.  Coriander is delicious in raw eggnog made with raw egg, raw milk and unheated honey.  It tastes better than nutmeg or cinnamon which can be neuro-toxic or an irritant anyway.  I heard the coriander kills salmonella.  I know it's not paleo to use milk and spices in a blender, but this is the Hot Topics section.

Cilantro tastes delicious blender into a raw salad dressing and served on raw fresh green salad.  I don't know if it prevents e.coli.
