So guys, I have been avoiding eating meats that have not been previously frozen for 14 days.

Hi, Sally - I've been eating raw paleo for about 1/2 a year now with great health results, including over 70 pounds weight lost. It took me a few months to locate a good supply of grassfed beef. In the meantime, I ate what I could get when I could get it, but I found that grazed lamb was easier to find. Your food log (you are so disciplined to write it all down, way better than I am in that regard!) looks meat-deficient for the last few days, and when you had beef and liver a few days ago, you said you felt super, so I'd encourage you to look in every nook and cranny to find good meat.

Also, about oilsands... I worked in a valley that was dominated by agribusiness. The air was full of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and the winds blew these up incessantly. My physical and mental health suffered greatly. I left there two years ago, the day after my work contract expired. I didn't even have a next job lined up, but I was glad to get out of the invisible filth.

It would be convenient to just go to the grocery store, pick out a wild salmon or whatever and eat it before freezing, it would probably taste better too.  The couple times that I have eaten beef without freezing it first, I have enjoyed the flavor more.  I'm worried though about catching a parasite.

I have heard about people dying from eating fish without freezing first from an article on how sushi was invented.

    I just ate a preground package of bison directly on the way home from buying it at the market, and a raw lobster tail.

    Where was sushi invented?  I thought Japanese peasants had left over accidentally soured rice and rolled it up with some fish before refrigeration was invented and used it as a food calling it sushi which in Japanese I heard the word sushi literally means sour(ed)-tasting rice.  Besides the English speaking countries, I believe the non English speaking country restaurants never freeze their fish nor the chicken or horse they make sashimis with.  If you don't feel comfortable, freeze how you like.  Freezing raises thiaminase, so I'd be careful.  It kills piscavores (animals who mainly eat fish).

For Breakfast:
-120 grams of liver
-240 grams of sirloin steak
-1 tomato
-1/2 uncooked pickle
-Celtic salt


Around noon:
3/4 cup sauerkraut

around 1
2.5 tablespoons of coconut oil
2 tablespoons of hemp-seeds
2 tablespoons shredded coconut
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 avocado
2 mini cucumbers
1 tomato
-Celtic salt

around 3
3 pieces of fried chicken, including the bones
1 Fresca

Question: Why are you drinking coffee, eating sweetener, cream, soy sauce?

Are you just easing into paleo? Because those aren't paleo...I don't think the pea pods are either.

Also, you don't need to have everything so planned out. I usually only eat at night because I'm not really hungry until then. Follow your instincts

Yes, I guess you can say I'm working my way into it.  I have trouble not "treating" myself on my days off, and since I just cut out fruits, honey and nuts like 3 days ago, I have been having more difficulty.
My first two goals are to recover from adrenal insufficiency and lose weight.  I love the idea of eating raw, and in my opinion I'd say that I eat practically no dairy or grains.
I am still working on improving my network for sources of more variety of organ meats.  I figure it will be about maybe another 6 months before I have my sources lined up all slick, I give up "treating myself" and I give up freezing my food.
I wasn't using sweeteners other than Stevia until I cut out the fruit.  I noticed that I lost 5 pounds in the last 3-4 days.  I didn't want to jeopardize that by using honey as a sweetener, or using fruit as a treat instead.
I REALLY appreciate all advice, and I am taking all suggestions seriously, hence why I just cut down on carbs, and increased my protein intake. I know I have not been doing too good the last two days.

being A-OK with transitioning while having realistic longer-term goals is an admirable quality. Statistically people that have a bunch of conviction and rules and methods of which to apply have less percentage of sticking with their approach.

That said particulary with modern pepople with a slew of pre-existing conditions..certain things for sure will have consequences on health that require tweaking: like the macronutrient thing, others..not so much ..like the coffee thing

Particularly when transitioning diets some things are more important than others. if two weeks/months/years or so one had all kinds of articifial foods in their diet, the few grams of non fermenty plant sweeteners, coffee and poor combined foods is not going to be much of an issue in the short term. There is some truth to going off certain foods entirely for periods which can allow for certain healing not present when those foods are eaten sporadically but that doesn't mean that huge health progressions can't be made that way too. For some people, they might find deeper healing without any such 'mishaps', but if one isn't actually doing a healthy diet or lifestyle and just adhering to such rules as being most important then the likelihood is their health will suffer (wondering why or ignoring symptoms and poor health) or they'll go off the diet entirely. Just my take.

Had 10 full stalks of celery before going to bed.
Woke up in the morning ate
1/2 cup broccoli
4 spears cucumber
1/2 green pepper
1 tomato
2 tablespoons shredded coconut
2 tablespoons avocado oil

At about 930 I ate:
1 tomato
1/2 cup broccoli
4 spears cucumber
1/2 green pepper

I felt crappy like I was a bag of sand,

At around 1 pm I ate
250 grams of tenderloin

Still felt heavy

Ate an apple and a banana to try to shake the feeling and be productive (hope I didn't overdo my carbs for the day)

this had only a very minute positive effect

Started to feel better around 4 pm, when my project partner gave me a kick in the ass via e-mail.

Threw up after second piece of tenderloin

Continued eating shortly thereafter

Seem to be having problems gagging on fat lately

And I salted all my food today, real salt on my first 2 meals, celtic salt on my last

Seem to be having problems gagging on fat lately

I used to gag on fat and gristle. What helped was changing the way I chewed - I chew longer now, very patiently, and when the mouthful is down to the smallest lump of fat and connective tissue, I swallow it.

At home, I do not cut my meat, I just gnaw on it. At work, I take my meat pre-cut into polite-looking morsels.

I agree with goodsamaritan that your menu looks complicated, compared to what I eat. If you enjoy it, don't worry... but if you feel like you are balancing your intake with all those ingredients because of what you learned about "good" nutrition in the past, it's okay to go for simplicity and chow down and enjoy.

I drank the water of one young coconut

then half an hour late I ate:
1 tomato
1 avocado
12 pea pods
4 spears of cucumber
celtic salt to taste
2 tablespoons coconut
2 tablespoons hemp seeds
a drop of fish oil
two tablespoons flaxseed oil


I am overwhelmed/afraid by the idea of mono-eating.
I leave home for 15 hours a day and I'm afraid I will starve, while having to work physically.
Also when I get hungry, I crave several things at once.  I have trouble enjoying the thing that I am eating, because I am already thinking of the next thing I am going to eat.
However I will try it.
Tomorrow I will bring my foods to work whole,
I will eat breakfast this way too, and if I can handle it, I will try supper like this too.

Didn't mono eat today...
My boyfriend didn't really understand what I wanted so he had all my veggies cut up for me for breakfast and lunch already...(he's a mono eater actually)
Breakfast was:
4 tablespoons of flax oil
4 tablespoons of shredded coconut
2 tablespoons of hemp seeds
Celtic salt

For lunch was:

1/2 avocado
1 tomato
1/2 green pepper
1/2 a leek
12 pea pods
4 spears of cucumber
Real salt

Around 130pm I ate:
About 350g of tenderloin, followed by about 8 small tomatoes someone from work grew in their garden.


At supper I ate:

340g of cod fish which I dipped in salted flax seed oil.
1/2 cup of sauerkraut
Celtic salt to taste

Shortly after I drank the water of one coconut

I ate 1 tomato
1 avocado
7 pea pods
4 spears of cucumber
topped with 4 tablespoons of coconut (shredded)
and 1 teaspoon of honey on top, no salt.

Flax oil and hemp seeds... mucho estrogen... too much.

Try getting rid of all nightshades and see how you feel.

When I eat 2 tomatoes a day for a few days I feel sick.

I understand.

This comes from the usual perception of how much meat to eat.

I think most people here chow down at least 1/2 kilogram / 1.1 pounds of raw meat and fat a day total.

So if you brought with you 1 kilo / 2.2 pounds of fatty meat, you could eat that in 3 meals and would still not be able to finish it all.  You won't go hungry with 2.2 pounds of fatty meat.

liver (120 grams)

At 10 am:
1/2 an avocado
1 tomato
5 slices of leek
a quarter of a cucumber
12 sugar peas
Real salt to taste

At 2 pm I ate:
about 300 grams of strip loin

For supper I ate:
340g of strip loin
2 egg yolks

I felt sad/pissed off the majority of the day today.
I'm gonna try giving up tomatoes and peppers.  Gotta go shopping for new veggies, although I don't know what the hell I'm going to eat.
What is a more sensible alternative to the flax oil?

I wouldn't go overboard on the olive oil.  I would only use it if it makes your health better.
